  • Wait times have dropped back down today....

Noticing ( via the Disneyland App ) that wait times have dropped significantly back down from this same point last week or any day last week frankly. I know they spike in the evenings but I am basing this on 4pm times.

It's not to the levels of early summer but times are not what I would call hectic. Can any CM's confirm if the park has increased staffing back to proper levels or is it that last weeks long wait times are solely due to crowd surge from school holidays in the southwest region and the Fomo's coming out for Halloween selfies like some speculated? Anyone there yesterday or today to confirm it's less crowded than last week?

The department I work in didn't cut any staffing. And we're training new hires for the upcoming Christmas season. By the way, what are "Fomo's"?

It's probably a result of everybody's back in school again.

Fomos is a recent slang term describing individuals who 'Fear Of Missing Out'(FOMO). Or in other words, outspoken diehard fans who do not want to miss anything new in the parks at any given time. Disneyland Instagramers have been referred to as FOMOs.
            On topic,

I think Oct. 25-Oct. 27 will be busy as that is the last weekend before Halloween. And of course the 31st.

Nov. 1-3 may have some crowds for Dia la Muertos, which is on Nov. 2.

              that a bingo
              'Fear Of Missing Out'
characterized by "a desire to stay continually connected with what others are doing".
FOMO is also defined as a fear of regret.

Fomo's = Fear Of Missing Out's. Basically the people who can't pass up not being the first to see something new or not be at the current popular place especially if it's crowded. It's actually quite an old term and been around for over a decade and goes beyond Disneyland but like others have said the need to post on Social Media has fired up this trend like never before and brought it to places like MiceChat.

Glad to hear some teams are not facing hour reductions like many others have been.

I think there is a little
                  FOMO,in every body - imo

But in most case's I learn to wait..........
On new Items, going place's , even going to the movie's....
I try to stay away from crowds......plus ,I like hearing from other's (word of mouth ) first
                  to get other's
                  Opinions .

I was there yesterday from afternoon until around 8. The app was off the whole time. It was really crowded. Not just long lines for rides, but for food too - and we couldn't mobile order for awhile. Of course there were heavy crowds over by HMH and RoA, but the removal of the french fry rocks has made getting in and out of TL super cramped as well. We went to Fantasyland because the app showed reasonable wait times but the reality was something different. In the end we only went on what we could max pass and we left early because it was just not very comfortable. I felt sorry for the tourists there. They certainly weren't getting DL at its best.

Curious, today the App is showing wait times in the very comfortable realm with most attraction 20 min or less. Wonder if the App is off again today or yesterday was a fluke? Social media photos seem to show park not too crowded at all.

Try the Lines app from TouringPlans. Much more accurate than the official app. Gives the "official" and "most likely" wait times, which are often different.

Day to day lines are fluctuating by about 10-15 min. up or down now but are not at the crowded levels of a weeks or so ago and also not at the ghost town levels of this past summer. Some of it though now is due to staffing shortages and rides being partially off line. hoping it dies down a bit in the next two weeks as the calm before the Xmas storm that happens starting the 2 weekend in Dec. through the first week in January.
