After months of open “blue reservation days” the first half of November fills up almost overnight. I understood October filling up with all the Halloween parties but this quick fillup in November seems unexpected. Thoughts?

Flex seemed like too good a pass to be true. They're just starting and already random days are full. Imagine when lots of Select folks have switched over.Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream.Mark Twain

I am actually surprised it took this long to start filling up I predict that by February this will be a common occurrence. People will begin having to pre-book even on the chance they might be attending and then cancel when they cannot creating a scenario where it looks all booked up but then magically there will be open days at random after they were previously booked. It will be like the Hotels during the first months of SW:GE opening as it seems it was booked up and then magically rooms were available all be it at a falsely inflated price due to false demand.

This was so obvious from the beginning. Only the early adopters would get a good deal, and only for a short period of time. Every day that goes by, more people buy this pass. It was only a matter of time until the number of pass holders far outnumbered the limited number of reservations, thus making it impossible to get a reservation.

If you only have 100 openings a day for example and 3,000 passholders, those 100 will fill up quickly.
Yes I know he’s doesn’t mean it literally. Just trying to add some perspective in addition to sharing my positive experience with the pass. As of now only the 8th-10th are booked because its the first weekend of Christmas at the parks. At minimum that would have taken 3 days to book and that’s if they all booked the first day they were available.
I highly doubt Disney would end reservations for certain days without notice... or even at all. If anything it’s the latter but with way more openings obviously.
i bought the Flex in June and it was great having it over the blissful empty summer. I knew it would get harder to book reservations during the holidays but I figured if I really needed a certain day I could book 30 days in advance. So far I haven’t had an issue. One Sunday a few weeks ago I got to the park and realized I had forgotten to reserve the day for my wife and I. Luckily it hadn’t booked up yet. I also bought the Flex just in case they decided to get rid of if it after experimenting and maybe have the chance of being grandfathered in. Whether they get rid of if or just create new Flex tiers. The only way I see myself not renewing the Flex is if trying to book at midnight 30 days in advance doesn’t guarantee a reservation. Even then, as long as I can get a weekend day or two a month I’d probably be fine.Last edited by mickEblu; 10-16-2019, 10:14 PM."How do you do?"

I love the idea of the flex pass but I am also scared by it LOL it makes me nervous of course because Disney can alter availability as they see fit. I am willing to bet availability may change daily so it is best to check it all the time. Meaning if a day you wanted was previously unavailable it could become available. Also the reverse could happen if Disney feels a day may be more crowded than they thought.
I am watching what people think of these as my current AP expires. Usually we carry APs every other year. The Flex pass price point would allow us to carry a AP next year if we choose. Now I need them to actually open ROTR and address the way they are running the parks before i come back. We already cancelled our NYE plans to go there but that is for a different thread LOLThese are some of my favorite TRs I have posted

It is interesting that early yesterday they were booked up on weekends from now until mid November and now suddenly only 2 weekends are booked up? Something seems fishy here. Was it due to:
- Needing to get more CM's scheduled?
- DLC manipulation to spike pricing?
- Flex Pass holders booking it up then un booking once their schedules were solidified?
- Days getting booked up and then DSL getting too amny complaints leading to them opening up more spots?
I am very curious about this one.Last edited by Starcade; 10-18-2019, 11:29 AM.Disneyland Fan since the 70's
