Rebecca might want to buy some raingear if she's gonna try and be in the park this week to roll out the announcement with a DLR Communications department photographer following her for fake-happy photos with bewildered CM's to put on The Hub. One sure-fire sign of a good manager....earn the respect of your crew.

Seems Josh was pretty good at this..........not so for some of the others.........

The Hub, you need to be a CM to access.

Josh was trying to get rid of Sodexo? I miss the guy even more now!

Also I think the big thing he is referring to was that we are getting Rise CM previews.

Soooo waiting on the doom and gloom analysis that they're letting us bring a friend or family member on Rise of the Resistance before it opens. I'm not fake happy about that, I'm genuinely excited.

Josh was working on ending the Sodexo contract according to a buddy in TDA. Don't know what Rebecca will do with that - she has yet to eat a meal at the InnBetween so she may not care.

Also, sounds like the big PR push is a plan to schedule CM's to be test riders on Rise for the first two weeks of January. CM's would be paid to ride Rise for a 6 to 8 hour shift. That's the new version of soft openings to prevent the Guests from having too much access to it before official opening because it breaks down so often. They have to get more testing and training in so they'll use paid CM's to act as Guests.

                  soft openings for the Guest.......
Also sure TDA is very careful what moves they make to the opening !

Are there interactive aspects to the Rise of the Resistance attraction, or do you just sit passively and watch?

That’s not new, they did the paid shifts in Carsland as well.

You make passive watching seem like a bad thing. I think Smugglers Run would be better if it were more passive.

In May and June of 2012 there was no ability for CM's not on the Cars Land Test & Adjust team to pick up a paid shift to test ride Racers.

There was some sporadic ridership offered in May for Cars Land opening crew CM's from Foods and Stores - in addition to the usual daily test ridership of Cars Land Attractions CM's. And then in the last week or so before June 15th there were a few All-Calls placed for open ridership - but CM's had to come on their own time or be released by their area management. TDA arrived in huge numbers in the Timon parking lot - I worked a few of those days and rode Racers a few times during the All-Calls and remember specifically all the TDA people abandoning their desks.

Never before has a system been put in place where any DLR CM can pick up a paid shift to test ride a new attraction. That's new for SW:GE and Rise.

No there was 100% paid shifts to ride all day, specifically for luigis as they did not know how guests would handle it. I know because I worked it and helped schedule it, so it’s not misinformation at all.

Maybe you should ask Grant? I am sure he is working with plenty of people that were there.

I wouldn't know one way or another, and it's possible you are both right. Maybe the distinction is "any" CM?

However this seems not to be true. The CM previews is going to be the ridership, as no one was scheduled a paid ridership shift.

Based on her background, it seems very confusing why Campbell was selected, as she has worked more in TV industry, while serving the company. While one could argue that that she was brought in for the 'experiences' part of the division, she seems more likely to run ABC or Disney+ in the future, than Parks head.

It still feels like the company is blacklisting any park workers for the job.

Actual park workers would know how to please guests but possibly at the expense of short-term corporate profit. That would not align with the current direction the company is going.

They want a well-trained corporate minion who is not capable of independent thought but only does what they are told.
