Park Crowds Today, NYE

Happy New Years Eve, MiceChatters!!

I will be heading to the Parks later this afternoon, and was wondering if anyone is there now, so you could tell me how the crowds are, so far?

Any helpful tips would be appreciated, from Park crowds to the parking situation.

Not there now, but I have friends who go every year on NYE and it's always a packed house. Looking at wait times now leads me to believe tonight will be no different. Have fun!

Mix magic had a lot more pyro tonight. For those of you that thought it was gonna suck, it definitely didnt.

Overall we had a great time in DL for NYE. They did a east coast countdown with fireworks. Then for midnight we spent it at Oga's then watched the fireworks from Batuu. Because we had FPs for the evening we didn't wait for anything it was amazing lol. Happy 2020!!!!

That's great to hear. I haven't seen it myself, but I'm always a fan of projections with good pyro.

When I last visited the parks I hoped to catch Believe in Holiday Magic, but fireworks were canceled due to high winds. CMs tried to encourage everyone to stay in their spots for what they called a "snow moment," which was really just some projections over a LeAnn Rimes cover of White Christmas followed by a snowfall. People were so uninterested the crowd dispersed almost entirely within a minute of it starting.

Yeah I think it definitely helped with guest flow too, they were able to keep fantasyland and matterhorn open. Much smoother than last year. And yeah that contingency has been continuing here for holiday magic when it's too windy
