Is there a single rider line for ROTR @ Disneyland? Is this functional on opening day?

They should do it now but with some type of limits. When our car and the other one departed the station, each car had an empty seat."And yes, we implore EVERYBODY to follow the park rules. Having off-ride footage is great, but any still photo's or video's taken ON the coasters at SFMM are strictly against the rules. They are there for your (and everybody's) safety." "Six Flags doesn't allow ANY loose articles on their coasters, and they don't allow video taping on their coasters. " BUT, " This is not true. Six Flags does not allow ANY On-Ride video or pictures on the rides. The ONLY way is if you get explicit permission from Park Management." ???

It's not perfect, but leaving empty seats on a ride when people's boarding groups aren't getting called before the day ends is poor form.

They really should do single rider. We had 2 empty seats next to us on Friday when we rode. One thing to note about single rider though in this attraction. You would probably skip part of the attraction in the single rider line.Last edited by biggsworth; 01-19-2020, 02:32 PM.These are some of my favorite TRs I have posted

If you’ve been on ROTR, you’ll know there’s no easy way to do single rider, unless they have you walk backstage to the star destroyer set. If they had single riders use the fast pass queue (at the BB8 area) then you’d get abuse from families or groups saying they are single riders until they get on the Star destroyer.

Yeah, I agree. How absurd is it that Disney has built single rider lines for every major ride of the last decade, but not for ROTR?

The only logistically sound way to do single riders, is if the single riders skip the entire pre-show and go straight to the interrogation hallway...which they won't do since that would take guests through backstage areas (same way as if being evacuated from the interrogation hallway)
Of course there'd be the issue of people losing them, and a bit of lost efficiency, but with the downtime being experienced I don't think the bit of queue efficiency would be a big deal.

There's no logistical way to do a Single Rider line for this attraction without skipping major parts of the pre-show, Even after the initial pre-show, in the Hangar Bay, there's no real way to make sure the "single riders" stay in a single rider queue unless they are being escorted by a CM...AND THEN, the 2 lines after the hangar Bay would essentially be Standby and Single Rider, which will cause that Standby line to back up even further.

Either way, we're already seeing switchbacks in the hangar. My guess is this ride lasts a year before we all get a diminished experience in some form or another.

Fast Pass ruined the Indiana Jones queue. Now you just rush right past everything. Would you do single rider on Haunted Mansion and skip everything before the omnimover part? I guess it depends on the ride. I have no desire to walk through the whole line for space mountain or Thunder Mountain though.
