Jeff Bezos and his girlfriend Lauren Sanchez were at the park on Friday. Some pics of them on Big Thunder and in New Orleans Square.

They dined at Club 33 for dinner.

We were there first week in December and saw them as well coming out of Buzz he had his kids and 3 or more of his own security detail around him. But they were all about 20 feet away and people were walking right by Bezos and most people had no clue who he was. I took a photo of him because I thought nobody would believe he would be there so casually.

I made a joke with my wife that he was kicking the tires trying to decide if he wanted to buy the place. lol! Seems he is a fan of something the park has to offer just not sure what exactly.

You can see two of his security detail to the left and right of him in the background there was a third I saw you could tell because they were not only dressed in "tactical casual" but they had coms and their heads where constantly on a swivel. Plus they had a plaid with them which is what caught my eye in the first place.

The back is a faster experience the front row makes the ride much slower for the drops. Maybe he can't really handle thrill rides that much so he has to sit up front. He also might not know anything about the fatality that happened on that ride in the front.

First off that fatality was due to improper maintenance on idler wheels. Secondly... those idler wheels no longer exist (major show detriment IMHO). Thirdly, OF COURSE he wouldn't have a clue. He's running centi-billion dollar companies.

Probably also one of the few people in the world who can legitimately challenge Disney in the theme park business...with everything that Amazon owns and operates, why not get into the theme park business? All he needs is to either buy land north of San Diego or in the Valley or take over an existing theme park and do a total rebrand.

Where north of San Diego? It's pretty much all developed.

There's an awful lot of open space in the Escondido and San Pasqual areas but good luck getting approval for things like that.

Yeah l, it all depends on the optics I'd say. The land literally across the street from the Safari Park is agricultural I believe, but I always thought that I could be ripe for development if the right investment comes in.

At the same time, how long do you guys think Sea World will have in it's current state? When the whole orca situation resolves itself through natural causes in several years, I feel like there's much left for the theme park unless they go full throttle and become "Six Flags Jr". Would like someone like Bezos buy Sea World San Diego and do an major rebrand and makeover.

With the way Amazon treats their Prime members, I myself am one of them, I can totally see something more reasonably structured that could challenge Disney. Being a Prime member offers a lot of benefits, it's pretty generous. Heck, maybe discounts for Prime members would be offered at a Bezos park!
