Disneyland's 50th... The Actual Celebration
By Most accounts so far, it seems that 5-5-05 is Going to be a Big Deal down in Orlando. What do you expect from Disney on the fifth and on July 17? We know the fireworks and parade will debut, but what special events, Disney Legends, or ceremonies would you like to see?

On Past anniversaries we have seen multi-hour parties, Free Cake, Time Capsules, Speeches and Musical tributes... What do you think the next few months hold for Disneyland specifically?

One would hope we would get some sort of televised event on the size and scale of what was done for the opening. Which, of course, would later be released as some sort of DVD that we would snap up as so many trained seals.

Then again, between all they want to show off in order to get people into the parks, I can't see how they wouldn't come up with something like that.

Gee, I hope Uncle Michael will come and give a speech about the bottom-line profitability of the Disney brand, and how he plans to increase the stock value over the next fiscal year.

I hope i get something special for being there on the exact 50th anniversary...

Here's what I'd like to see for the 50th. I'd like to see the price of a hot dog, hamburger, fries and a coke rolled back to what it was when the park opened. Popcorn, too.
