  • Califonia Adventure Monorail Stop

How can we Imagineer a Monorail station inside of California Adventure?
    Money is no object.
Park hopper tickets are not an issue either.
Can we build it above the ‘Soarin Queue?

I can't remember the specifics but the reason it hasn't happened has something to do with the 'braking zone'. There has to be 'XX distance' between the current DTD stop and a CA stop and I guess there's nowhere in CA that meets that requirement. Someone with some monorail knowledge explained it on a thread a few years ago.

If it could be done, I think it would have to be tucked away in a less crowded area than Soarin'. Maybe over by Monsters Inc?

Personally I'd like to see a Peoplemover going between the two parks.

If money is no object, the monorail should definitely be routed through the center of DCA for a better grand tour view while also allowing a new park hopping option.

Good memory! It was in these from 2016, 2014 and 2011:

If I were to add a station DCA, I would just add another track. DTD station would be expanded by knocking down the old Rainforest Cafe building. A forked transfer beam would connect it to the 1st track and to access the Monorail garage.

The track/route would travel south down past the Disneyland Hotel and head to the Paradise Pier Hotel and the west side of DCA. The Station would be built on part of the current land for Paradise Pier Gardens(which gets shifted into the bay area. The Station would also have a connection overpass bridge for the Paradise Pier Hotel.

The Monorail would go back and forth on the same track
                OR
the track would continue North through Grizzly Peak and Soarin, gradually elevating and so it would cross above the DL track (twice) and skirt northwest and loop back to DTD.

So, like 2 separate monorail systems?

If they opted to bridge both parks with a Peoplemover system, I imagine the best way they could make it fit both parks is to place the station in Avengers Campus in the form of Star Tech. You could conceivably reference Tomorrowland in Avengers Campus and create a loose narrative in which Howard Stark contributed to the creation of the original People Mover. Mind you, I'm no fan of Avengers Campus, but I can't think of any other way in which a People Mover would fit into California Adventure thematically. But then, when was the last time Disney gave much thought to thematic cohesion in DCA

Yes. Similar to Walt Disney World where, there is a track for Bay Area Hotels, an express track for TTC/Magic Kingdom and an track for Epcot to TTC.

So to park hop you'd board in TL transfer at the DTD station then exit in DCA. I'd more likely do what we do now if we don't want to walk all the way from the back of DL and just exit at DTD then enter DCA through the Grand. But if there was a stop near PPH, that would be great and probably increase its popularity.

Maybe I'm misunderstanding your idea, but I think the reason they have this in Disney World is because its actually a pretty long ride between the TTC and Epcot. If I was going between the Magic Kingdom and my hotel I wouldn't want to take a trip all the way around to Epcot. The Disneyland Resort is much more compact, so just having on extra stop on the same line wouldn't much longer.

                                I Agree...
                                WDW Monorail's:
That why it two routes , with TTC being the Hub.

I enjoy the Epcot monorail trip....the best
