Glad you enjoyed yourself! Your experience was similar to mine (Harbor Blvd parking, entrance and Jazz Kitchen salmon!). It's definitely the way to go, I'd certainly take paying a few bucks for parking and a short walk over waiting an hour+ in a hot Downtown Disney parking lot! Welcome to San Diego as well! Glad you made the long drive safely!

Visiting Downtown Disney as a Tourist

My family and I were driving to San Diego from Sacramento yesterday and decided, last minute, to stop at Downtown Disney. Although we are massive Disney fans, this originally hadn't been part of our plans because we had read about the crazy crowds and lines just to wait in more lines. However, after reading about the less crowded Harbor Blvd side, we decided to give it a try.

I want to extend a big thank you to both Micechat and the Anaheim hotel for coming up with such a great parking option. I hope that when the parks reopen I can stay at the Anaheim as a way to thank them. We walked across the street to the security stand - and found that there was no line!

All of the cast members were so wonderful explaining the process, but we were mostly just shocked that we could walk in with no wait. A second surprise lay in store once we finished the bag search, because there was also no line to get in Stage 17!

After buying some of the cute new Halloween merch, we also breezed right into World of Disney. I wanted every single item in this picture.

We wandered through the rest of Downtown Disney and decided to stop at Jazz Kitchen for dinner since there was no wait. The salmon was amazing!

After dinner we remembered that we still had to drive the rest of the way to San Diego, so we sadly said goodbye with hopes that next time we're back, we'll be able to step through these gates. Thank you again to Micechat and the Anaheim hotel!
