  • [Question] Renting DL During COVID

I've always been told that if you had enough money, you could rent DL out for an evening or possibly overnight. Assuming this is true, and it was just you and whatever group cap California is observing now (10 ppl??), could you rent or have rented during the pandemic thus far? Would the tier system in California apply to these theoretical people?

Do you think anyone has rented the park since March 2020? If so, who?

I realize this is kind of random, but the most random questions regarding DL have been popping up in my thoughts lately, maybe bc it's been too long since I've been. 😵
As part of a Public Service Announcement...
    Guardians Of The Galaxy
    Mission: Breakout
    ...is abbreviated like this
    GOTG M:B
The colon is placed after the "M", not before it.
    That is all. 😉

Since Theme Parks do not have clearance to open they could not rent the park out to any groups, regardless of the cost. Plus all their employees are either laid off or on furlough so there wouldn't be anyone to run the parks.

Considering you wouldn't be able to have Cast Members operating the Park, it's pretty mush a big "No".
Not the least hard thing to bear when they go from us, these quiet friends , is that they carry away with them so many years of our own lives.

Good question, but I must agree with the others that it has not opened for anything.

Not to say other businesses aren't doing this. Two bowling alleys near me constantly open for private parties. They are not permitted to, but they have to survive and I guess this is how they do it. They do have you sign waivers before you enter.
"And yes, we implore EVERYBODY to follow the park rules. Having off-ride footage is great, but any still photo's or video's taken ON the coasters at SFMM are strictly against the rules. They are there for your (and everybody's) safety." "Six Flags doesn't allow ANY loose articles on their coasters, and they don't allow video taping on their coasters. " BUT, " This is not true. Six Flags does not allow ANY On-Ride video or pictures on the rides. The ONLY way is if you get explicit permission from Park Management." ???

It's not possible to rent DL, but...

You can now rent a private AMC theater for just $99

(CNN) - A crisp Benjamin Franklin can get you your own private AMC movie theater.

AMC Theatres joins a handful of cinemas letting customers rent out auditoriums for private screenings -- a growing trend due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

AMC allows rentals of up to 20 people. According to its website, rates start at $99, excluding tax, and increase to $349 depending on the movie, the theater's location and any other add-ons like food and drink. AMC's FAQ page lists renting a microphone to greet guests as an extra $100 charge, while more time to enter an auditorium, beyond the standard 15 minutes, will cost another $250.

Sadly there is not the option for a marathon viewing of the 'Lord of the Rings Trilogy(Extended Edition) '.

Back to DL, guidelines on gatherings & conventions, also prevent the parks rental idea.
