  • Disneyland or DCA - 1st day

This is all just pretend. Disneyland re-opens the same day as DCA which also opens Avenger's Campus the same day. Which park do you go to assuming no park hopping. Not looking for any arguments that they wouldn't open the new area on the same day. This is just for fun. Also try to leave out anything Covid related or capacity related. Just looking at a normal day, minus park hopping.

I would go to Disneyland as I have no interest in Avenger's Campus.

While I am interested in checking out Avenger’s Campus, Nostalgia rules the day for sure and DL would be my day 1 park (as it is every trip).

DCA, because we would go directly the Carthy Circle bar/lounge for about 3 hours of food and drinks, then stroll through Carsland (no rides) and enjoy the classic rock and roll music and rock-a-billy music playing in the background while sipping a microbrew and watching the people. Then over to Buena Vista street near starbucks to have coffee and/or ice cream across from the fountain after sunset, and then go home.

Could care less about Avenger Campus. In fact, the only time we used to even head to that area of DCA was for Tower of Terror. We would go through the cue only to enjoy the wonderful set decorations in the hotel lobby, and after the Rod Serling bit we would exit and not even go on the ride.

I'm missing both so much, I don't know which I would decide upon.

If both were to open the same day without restrictions on capacity, I would lean more towards California Adventure because it was built with greater capacity in mind.

If both opened at twenty percent capacity, I would go to the land, because, at twenty percent, it wouldn't be the mad house that I imagine would happen once the park reopens in real life.

Gotta go with Disneyland. DCA is decent, but Disneyland is where you truly feel the magic.

Disneyland. Right at rope drop, I hop aboard the Disneyland Railroad and take a few laps around the park.

                  Disneyland, no question for me.

                      Disneyland. No question.

I have no connections to avengers, never watched any of the movies. I will explore the area eventually.

Big Shocker time...DCA. Yes, you read that right.

My last trip happened during the March 2020 shutdown. I had intended to go into both parks during my trip. On the day of arrival to DLR, March 12thto be exact, they announced the closure starting on the 14th. I only got go into Disneyland for 2 days (out of the intended plan of 5 days). Because of the short notice, priorty was put on Disneyland, and I never got to go into DCA. The last time I was in DCA was in December 2015, over 6 years ago as of now.

Also, DCA is turning 20 this year. I remember as a little kid, of seeing DCA being built way back in 2000.

our usual day begins at DCA...I think we would do the same but make it a shorter time there then cross over to Disneyland and enjoy the day...
I am old. But still love Disneyland.

DCA for Cars. Then on to DLRR around the Magic Kingdom. Slow walk down main street, late breakfast at the Carnation Cafe. Disneyland for the day.

DCA. A morning drop on Guardians of the Galaxy to wake me up, and the rest writes itself.

DL for sure. They could level DCA and it would not bother me in the least.
