  • Flex Monthly Payment Refund

I've received a refund on what appears to have been my ticket + down payment for my monthly Flex AP. I wasn't expecting this, and the email Disney sent me was a tad confusing as it suggested that they were refunding me for my unused months. While the automated message wording didn't really make sense, it was very cool thing for Disney to do.

Just wanted to flag in case there are other monthly AP members on here. Have you received a refund similar to the one I've mentioned?

    Right here!

I was actually not expecting this at all. My wife and I had Flex Passes and paid the down payment and 3 months worth in 2020 (Jan, Feb, Mar). We were paying monthly and we used those 3 months to their fullest. They stopped charging us after they closed.

Low and behold, Disney refunded us our down payments AND the monthly payments from the 3 months they were open, too! Frankly, I don't think they had to. We used those months and paid accordingly but this refund essentially gave us all our trips to the park at the beginning of last year for free.

    I won't complain, I'm just surprised.

I used 9 1/2 Months of my $599 Flex Pass. Paid the deposit and then I believe 9 payments, the last on February 29. I got a little more than $100 refunded.

I'd guess I had around 25-35 visits to the park, usually staying 6-8 hours, and paid $500, so that would come out to less than $20/visit. Almost all of my visits (90%), were on Saturday or Sunday.

I'll probably use this as a factor in determining whether they offer something in their new program, which will at least come close to replicating that value.

Edit: I just realized that I probably did not make the last 2 payments? I'll have to check. That would mean I think I paid about $70 less than my estimate. My net cost may have been closer to $400 after the Refund. I guess I did even better in terms of per visit cost than I had thought.

I bought 2 SoCal AP's online in January 2020 (to beat the price increase, which I did). I was planning to activate in April, but Covid happened. I called after Disney cancelled the AP program, was told that I would automatically receive credit to the credit card that was used for the purchase. So far, I have not received the credit.

I wonder what % of AP's have been refunded?

Sounds like they're working through them now. We had three passes that were set to expire shortly after the parks closed, and last week I got refunds for the little time left on them (about $90 or so total).

I had about two months left on my passes, and got the equivalent of two months of "payment" refunded. Fair!

                    Good News.....

                    I was thinking
The refund might be on the slow side because of staffing.....CM....on that program
and the mail service also been slow.
But it like - less to me Disney doing right -by refunding
                    Just a though
