  • Universal Hollywood Re-opening and Disneys reservation plans

O I was reading the other day an email that I received from Universal Studios Hollywood, that they will be re-opening April 15th and the Universal reservation system would be available on 4/7. What are the chances that Disney will kick off their reservation system around the same time?

I don't know the chances, but honestly there's no reason for them not to kick off reservation system now, 4 weeks from reopening. At this point the wait is arbitrary and a means of buildng up stress and anticipation.

Will park hopping be allowed at DLR? If so, does that mean reservations are for both parks? If no park hopping is allowed, will guests be able to make reservations for multiple days?

Lots of unanswered questions and it will be interesting to see how this all plays out.

My bet is that only 1 reservation for ONLY 1 park. No park hopping or dual reservations.

I think they are waiting until the last possible moment so they can adjust their limits more accurately as the OC tiers could go from Orange either backward or forward depending on how the public responds. Many are already beginning to act as if Covid is over and they may send us backwards into a tier where Disney is more limited when they do open. Chances are more likely things will continue to go the proper direction but they are likely taking as little risk as possible. Imagine opening it up now getting reservations for 25% capacity but we backslide and can only allow 15% at opening, now how do you tell 10% "sorry our bad". That would be a nightmare.

I think its also to dissuade out of state guests from planning vacations out.

Though, I think you are correct about them watching OC's tier status.

I'd say about 65%. That help?
