  • Dating Disneyland fans

Does any know of a good website or app for meeting other Disneyland fans to date?

  • #2
2005 and *now* this is your first post. I thought for sure it was a spam bot. lol.

Anyway, can't you just go to the app of your choice and spell it out in your profile? Seems that would work better than a niche Disney dating site.

actually, in my experience, the facebook groups that are dedicated to Disney singles have better success rates for Disney fans than the rest of the dating apps/sites, putting it all out there seems to be a turn off to most who aren't fans. Which also sucks if you're outside of SoCal and Orlando areas
            Trips coming up:

            May 22-26th
            July 13th-18th

In LA I feel like everyone puts their Disneyland interests in their dating bio! But I agree with mickeyfan42. Some of those Disney groups also have Valentine's Day meet-ups with scavenger hunts, which was an interesting way to speed date at the park.

OH! And they also have "Single Riders" day. It's a day where all the singles come together to mingle (but not necessarily wait in the Single Riders lines).

I feel very fortunate to have met my wife who also grew up in OC like I did many years back and ironically neither one of us went to or discussed our love for the parks while we dated minus that she used to work at the Monorail cafe at one time and that I used to collect Disney collectables and once wanted to become an imagineer. Fast forward several years when we where expecting our kids and we then discusses taking them to DLR when they turned 5. Once we took them to the park it awoke the Disney fan that was suppressed in the both of us. We had both kind of given up on the magic as we hit our 20's but ever since that first visit back we both have now returned to being hardcore fans and at this point we might enjoy the parks more then our pre-teen kids do.

In short I wouldn't limit yourself to just Disney fan sites as many hardcore Disney fans are out there in numbers larger than those on certain club or social sites they just do not advertise it on front street.

That's a really cool story! There are probably quite a few parents more into Disneyland than their children .

I think attending events with those who have similar interests as you is a great way to start conversations and meet new people. That's why so many people find it easy to date through college! In college, you have shared interests in academia, social clubs, partying; etc. Same goes with people who attend church.

People are more complex than just being Disney fans on the surface. You could meet a Disney fan, and conversations about Disney can lead to discussions about childhood, work, different interests... I once chatted with a guy at the Lamplight Lounge for hours, and we talked about things that had nothing to do with Disney! But we were both Disney fans, of course. It can go both ways.

OP –– enjoy dating! Dating is supposed to be fun, and if you have a type, by all means –– they're out there! Adventure is out there!

I'm incredibly introverted so anything other than first finding someone online kinda terrifies me, like, I can talk to people just fine if I have absolutely no intention to try to ask them out, because only married and engaged people wear rings to show they aren't available, and I have had WAY too many instances of thinking someone was flirting with me, then ask them out, only to find out they already are with someone. This is why I like to stick to meeting online now because at least then I know for sure they are also single. I always put my love for Disneyland out there, as well as my love for Harry Potter, Superheroes, Sci-Fi, the fact that I do not drink, smoke, or do any drugs, and my political leanings because I know that I won't be comfortable dating someone who has the complete opposite politics. Personally, I don't put being a parks fan as the most important thing in a potential partner, but I do want someone who is also nerdy and at least likes Disney (all of my top 10 favorite movies/series are either made by or have been acquired by Disney)
