So outside Galaxy's Edge, the ONLY Disneyland attraction I have not been on is the canoes...
Buy I'm also 6-5 and a big guy... Are the canoes a no go for me?

You have not lived until you have been splashed with duck do-do water while paddling in the "Indian War Canoes"

If you can do your part and paddle the whole way, go for it, if only to check off every Disney attraction. The downside of the otherwise pleasant canoe ride is that there are always guests who stop paddling (or pretend to paddle, you're not fooling anyone), which results in more work for everyone and lots of yelling from the cast member. If you think you're going to stop paddling for prolonged periods of time, probably don't go on it it, but otherwise height and weight shouldn't make a big difference.

It's one of my favorite rides and a little bit of a workout to counteract all of the inevitable Disneyland treats. Also, no track!

I wouldn't recommend it right now in the summer. Unless you wear lots and lots of sun block and could withstand the CA sun. Also, pray you don't have any lazy riders with you. You might end up doing more work when it comes to paddling the canoe. But being 6'5, you're probably gonna fit extra snug. Very uncomfortable. I'm 5'8 and I feel like I don't fit. But the only true way to really finding out is by trying to get on one yourself.

The canoe ride is a lot like our income tax system.

and keep your mouth closed at all times during your time on the canoes...otherwise, you'll be tasting river water often...ye be properly warned...
I am old. But still love Disneyland.

As a kid my Mom would always request we do the Canoes. The last 7 years of going to the parks every time I suggest we do the Canoes my girls look at me like I just sprouted a set of horns and second set of arms. The canoes and the Symphony Swings are the only rides my family has never ridden.

I am also a big dude but not as tall as the OP but I have witnessed many people well over 350 lbs riding the canoes. I think what CM's will do is simply give you your own row so the weight factor is not an issue. If weight was an issue they'd have a posted weight limit which to my knowledge no ride at DLR does. You can always just walk by and indiscreetly ask a CM "Can a dude my size ride the canoes?" That way you do not have to wait inline to be let down if it is a no go. More than likely they will look you up and down and smile and tell you "no problem"

The Symphony Swings do have a weight limit (you can find it online since it's an off the self ride) but I think the small chairs kind of act as a regulation on that. I did once research the weight limit on the JellyFish ride and the last time my daughter and I rode it I was 40 lbs heavier and she was old enough to put us well over the weight limit which I didn't know at the time (we no longer ride that ride together lol!) It would be nice if Disneyland had a posted weight limit or an easy to find listing on their website.

I would actually go on the Canoes, if it was themed to Ron Swanson.

RON SWANSON as Canoe Guide: "Instead of going on a ride about a stupid Teddy Bear, you are going on an experience of Nature."

"Riding in a Canoe is like Life. Consistent work will move you forward. Don't do anything, and you will be a moocher in our society and my boat."

[AA of Tammy II pops out of Riverbend bush, screaming Ron's name]

No, I made up the quotes. They were inspired by what Ron has said on Parks & Rec. The 2nd quote was inspired by Ron's Fish quote(Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Don't teach a man how to fish and you feed yourself. He's a grown man, fishing's not that hard.).

I like the cut of your jib! You have a delicious Ron Swansonish sardonic wit. Those were good lines you wrote.

That one of my favorite Ron Swanson quotes. Also his other fish quote: "Fish, for sport only, not for meat. Fish meat is practically a vegetable."
