Restaurant Reservations Down in App?

Has anyone successfully made sit down reservations lately (through the app without a third party notifier)? I was poking around at 7am this morning to see what I could book for upcoming trip, and locations would show up fine. The issue was securing the spot. I would go through the process and when I would try to confirm the reservation it would say there was an error and to try again. When I refreshed they would no longer be available. I tried this for multiple days across two months and even restarted the app. Has anyone else been experiencing this? Do we know what’s causing it?

Nope, even in the park it wasn't working.

We just were there from Sun-Tue for a last minute, spur of the moment birthday trip for myself. We tried getting into Jazz Kitchen Sunday night and it just kept either giving us an error or saying nothing was available all day. Yet, we walked up to the counter and got seated within 20 minutes.

But ,I just feel this over all GAME.....Disney is playing....is going end up hurting them self......

November 29th became available today, and I've been trying since 3 am to get a restaurant reservation. Absolutely nothing is available, which is unusual, because there are usually a couple of less popular places that always show up, especially on a weekday.

I tried making reservations for Thanksgiving and the day after and there is nothing from 11/24 onward. And I agree that it is completely blank, no downtown Disney options and no minor restaurants in the park. It just says that there are no reservations available for lunch/dinner on the date/time/party size and to try a different time or date.

I don't know if it's some kind of "shenanigans" based on day tix vs key holder. Top tier key vs lower tiers. Or if capacity is that limited.
We've been to the parks 5 times since they reopened. 3 on the SoCal tickets. 2 on our Dream Key. We've been to Carthay 4 of those 5 times. The first 3 reservations while holding the SoCal tix were ez to make, mid-day, on the 60th day. Nothing available on the 4th day (key). Nothing for the 5th day (key). Used an outside service. They came up with MULTIPLE available reservations, which we snagged. Used an outside service for Nov. 22nd. Nothing available on the DLR site, but they found multiple reservations.
My conspiracy antennae are vibrating!

This right here is exactly what I’m concerned about. The reservations I found were for Carthay, and every time I selected it I got the below message. Keep in mind that I was attempting early in the week - Monday or Tuesday. This never happened when we bought regular tickets - ever. I’m going to be really upset if it turns out that’s the case. We thought that Disney valued the AP program (and Magic Key) because it would be used on food and merch.

Is anyone here willing to help me track how hard or easy it is for those with a Magic Key to get a reservation by responding to this thread as they attempt to?

I checked again this morning at 3:00 am when November 30 went online, and still nothing available. Nothing whatsoever, and we have full-priced single-day tickets.

Wow, what a bummer.

I can't imagine waking up at that ungodly hour to try to make a theme park dining reservation nearly two months in advance...to be axed out.

While you can select a date 60 days from now in the app or website, it is up to the restaurants to set the availability of tables. And with schedules of the parks and restaurants not determined that far in advance, along with capacity of the restaurant because of staffing, the restaurants are not setting reservation availability that far out. Also the restaurants seem to add availability in batches. DCA restaurants seem to be the worst and often you can only book 30-35 days in the future. You basically just have to check daily, grabbing what you can when you see something that would be acceptable and cancel if your first choice suddenly becomes available.

My trip is at the end of November and there is zero dining reservations available anywhere, not even Downtown Disney. I'm thankful I was able to book Catal and Ballast Point through Open Table at least. And maybe since I'll be a party of one, I can hopefully get something at either Lamplight or Carthay, fingers crossed!

A Single Person, have a better chance than two.
But.......Most lightly ,It not going be a table you want.
And Myself I would not ,use the reservation system,
I would walk up in person....and see there any place to fit , a single person !
You may be surprise......if ask the right person.

Your luck must have worked! Last night several dining reservations became available and I spent a half hour on the app trying to reserve, but kept getting an error message. So this morning I logged into the website instead and was able to book a Carnation breakfast, and a Carthay and Lamplight lunch! Very excited!!

I also have 11/30 for the parks , unable to find any reservations. 10/6: I was up later than usual with other activities. Checked restaurant availability….so many were available! Blue Bayou, and it’s cafe, Carnation Cafe , Cathay Circle and it’s cafe. Didn’t know what Lamp Lounge was. So didn’t reserve there. Must try it later. Picked Carnation cafe lunch and Cathay Circle dinner. (as beginning of alphabet) One poster noted to check between 10pm-MN, and might find reservations opened up.

Same for me, it was like something just told me to check on that night. I'll be there 11/27-11/29 and was able to get the reservations I wanted so I'm pretty jazzed. Still trying to get Trader Sams though.
