Make Music Mine has basically been unofficially blacklisted from the company (I think it has to do with the the Hats & Coys segment).
Some content might be held up due to pre-existing licensing deals (like the Muppets Christmas Crossover) or the program requires remastering. I don't think some episodes of The Wonderful World of Disney will be released over redundancy (AKA full length movie episodes of exisiting films on Disney+).
There is way to request content on Disney+ (see attatched article below). I just requested the ABC/Disney's 2000s TV series, House of Mouse.
After looking at the event pages on Disney social media, I don't quite understand what exactly this is.
Early Access to the, exclusive photo ops, merch, etc.... Cause you have Disney+?
Like, don't get me wrong, save for the early access, nothing here is too different than what AP, ChaseVisa, or Vacation club members get.... Except with all this other stuff, you're spending hundreds more... (Except for maybe chase, but I haven't seen much for card holders since before the quarantine).
I just don't really understand the point? Unless Disney really is just that broken right now that they want to give all their attention to streaming, over the other memberships literally worth thousands more a person or family, because "raisins."

Aside from all theatrical films shown on the anthology, there are hundreds of original TV episodes unavailable:

It's just a cross-promotion to raise awareness/subscriptions for their very profitable streaming service. They haven't yet figured out how to do a permanent D+ attraction in the parks, so they're doing this.

Their stock price started a 4-month rise of about 60% when Disney+ debuted (120 to ~197). It made up for pandemic losses, and then some. After its high in March, it dropped about 10% over the following month (~175) and has stayed right about there for the rest of the year, despite everything else going on in the company. https://finance.yahoo.com/chart/DIS (Click on 2Y to see the relevant time period.)
I assume they want that price rocket again and if they think streaming and its $8/month subscriptions is the key, that's what they'll go after.
Their earnings report comes out November 10 in a live webcast which may or may not shed more light on what's going on.
"The Walt Disney Company will discuss fiscal full year and fourth quarter 2021 financial results via a live audio webcast beginning at 4:30 p.m. ET / 1:30 p.m. PT on Wednesday, November 10, 2021.
Results will be released after the close of regular trading on November 10, 2021.
To listen to the webcast, please return here 5 minutes prior to the start of the event. The webcast presentation will be archived."

I figured it was something like this, but... SOME part of me wants to believe it's just not that blatent. But if no one else can see a reason... It's probably just that.

Wow. I didn't realize so much wasn't there. I bet you're especially bothered they don't have your namesake, The Misadventures of Merlin Jones!
I feel like I have some Disney movie homework to do now.
