That standby line is going to be unimaginably painful.

Waiting 45 minutes even after reserving a virtual queue spot is still very painful, but I can’t imagine what it will be like with the chaos of Lightning Lane. 😓

I’ve been hearing from people that went to WDW that the period of time that Rise was no longer taking virtual que spots the regular line was only 45 minutes. After Genie+ launched and on-site hotel guests could purchase individual Lightning Lane passes at 7 am, there now aren’t any passes left for general admission holders.

Appears to be a 90 min wait as of 12:30, not too bad.

Although they are closing the ride at 8pm while the park is open until midnight….

I think its going to be much worse than when Indiana Jones first opened back in 95. I remember I waited about 4-5 hours to get on the attraction

Actually, not as bad as I thought, but still pretty tough by my standards... Started as a strong 180-minute wait this morning, and has died to a consistent 80-minute wait according to reports.

You're right. That's not TOO bad. Its doable. That's almost the wait time for a busy Space Mountain

Heck, we waited 55 minutes after our boarding pass was called on Monday. Now we wait to see what effect lightening lane has on things. TBH, last week was pretty ok with no fast passes. The only line above an hour was webslingers, and rarely, Indy. Even webslingers was down to 55 minutes a bunch of times. Granted, not the busiest week of the year typically, but still.

Lightning Lane will definitely slow that standby wait down. Which is a shame because an 80 min standby line for the newest, headliner attraction is not bad. Especially since posted wait times are more often than not, slightly inflated as to avoid any unpleasantness with Guests who end up waiting 10-15 minutes longer than they expected.

Depending on how many lightning lane passes they have available for purchase on a given day for ROTR, I'm really hoping that Disney operations are going back to basics and the focus is back on improving wait times rather than inflating profits. If they use lightning lane correctly, wait times for everyone should be as minimal as they can get.

I'm being optimistic, of course, but crossing my fingers.

The posted wait seems to hover in the 70-100 min range. Occasionally jumping to 120 min.

People have been saying the posted wait is usually way higher than the actual wait time which seems to hover between 40-60 min.

I'm going this Saturday. Do you know if they're still doing the boarding pass? Or what would you recommend I do?

No more boarding passes that I've seen in the last few days. I hear it's busiest at the beginning of the day, and also around 1pm when park hopping starts.

I went on Sunday and got very lucky to catch a lull in the line around 6:30pm. I timed from the second I got in line to the second I stepped into the first show room with Rey. My final time was just 35 minutes! The best time is to go during the parade times for sure.

I have reservations for the 22nd of December and trying to decide whether to push them back to the 4th or 5th of Jan as my kids are still out of school that week. We havent been in three years due to a relocation out of state so would really like to get the kids on this ride even if that means showing up super early to stand in line in front of the park. I assume crowds will be dramatically less the first week of Jan.

Crowds will be lower for sure, however they won’t be that significantly different due to the reservation system.

Riding RoTR isn’t difficult at all anymore. You just need to invest a solid hour or so in line.

Sorry for the late thanks. I actually missed the cut off time for ROTR . But overall, was able to get on almost all the attractions! This DL trip was a success. Again thank you for that. Saved me from waking up early and checking for boarding passes.
