Hey all. How does the ticketing process work with cast member discounts right now? I'm booking a visit for March but can a cast member get me in the parks free for each day on my trip? How would that effect my payment for reservation dates?

Please ignore them both. Hopefully someone in the know will answer your question.

Consider the OP's question. If he had a CM friend, he would have went to that CM and asked.
The fact that he is asking here means he doesn't have someone to sign him in and is likely going to try to bum free admissions from strangers who would have limited sign-in privileges.
tbh, I'm surprised no one called him out on that yet.

OP — from what I’ve read, cast member self-reservations are really hard to book, so I think it might be a shot in the dark to rely on that sort of access. Comp tickets are bought online through an employee specific domain.
I’m not sure if they can extend that sort of access to non-employees, though. I’ve only heard of guests buying full-priced tickets to go in with CMs.

It may be that OP has already been told by a CM acquaintance that "Sorry, no can do" and is trying to verify, is hesitant to ask a CM acquaintance before knowing the answer, or is trying to pull a 'fast one'. Regardless, IMO either answer the question or refer the post to a mod to 'deal with'."Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain."

And contrarywise, I'm not bumming anything by free admission. By that logic, anyone who gets a card in via cast member assistance is bumming.
Such a sunshine ray you are.

Which is correct? You're verifying (meaning you don't trust your friend), are hesitant to ask your friend (meaning he's not that close of a friend), or are trying to pull a fast one?
Or you could have checked the thread and seen that my reply was tagged as "originally posted by Stormy" when saying correct. then again, you were far too concerned with being the buzzkill of MiceChat , so it may have gone unregistered.

To dig way too deep into your question. I hold a license for what I do and I dont have to physically be at the gate to let people in. If you used to know a CM from the 70's or even early 80's...they no longer exist. I still try to act like it is true, but it is not. Disney has employees now that would rather congregate in groups and have guests overhear their gripes than make it a magical expirience....Sad but true.
I watch my old Walt docs, tencennial and such...and dream of a previous time(before mine).
I believe in the magic, it is still there...its just clouded.Last edited by disneywarcrafts; 12-03-2021, 01:25 PM.

A note that post #18 in the thread (the one immediately preceding mine) should be ignored. The guy is a notorious forum crap-stirrer and troll.
