  • Cast member entry ?

Hey all. How does the ticketing process work with cast member discounts right now? I'm booking a visit for March but can a cast member get me in the parks free for each day on my trip? How would that effect my payment for reservation dates?

If you know a cast member that was going to do that they should be able to provide that information for you.

      You beat me to it.
"And yes, we implore EVERYBODY to follow the park rules. Having off-ride footage is great, but any still photo's or video's taken ON the coasters at SFMM are strictly against the rules. They are there for your (and everybody's) safety." "Six Flags doesn't allow ANY loose articles on their coasters, and they don't allow video taping on their coasters. " BUT, " This is not true. Six Flags does not allow ANY On-Ride video or pictures on the rides. The ONLY way is if you get explicit permission from Park Management." ???

This is the second time that you've posted a valid question and received a sarcastic, rude answer from one of our resident curmudgeons -- in this case, two of them (which is no coincidence to anyone who is familiar with their posts).

Please ignore them both. Hopefully someone in the know will answer your question.

"Disneyland is often called a magic kingdom because
it combines fantasy and history, adventure and learning,
together with every variety of recreation and fun,
        designed to appeal to everyone."

        - Walt Disney

"Disneyland is all about turning movies into rides."

There's nothing wrong with their answers.

Consider the OP's question. If he had a CM friend, he would have went to that CM and asked.

The fact that he is asking here means he doesn't have someone to sign him in and is likely going to try to bum free admissions from strangers who would have limited sign-in privileges.

tbh, I'm surprised no one called him out on that yet.

Excuse me? I am in no way being negative towards this person. If a person knows a cast member who can sign them in, that cast member should be providing them that information. I cannot think of a good reason you’d come to an online forum if you had such a friend. They should be able to easily provide them that information or the fact that they don’t know yet, because it’s readily available.

OP — from what I’ve read, cast member self-reservations are really hard to book, so I think it might be a shot in the dark to rely on that sort of access. Comp tickets are bought online through an employee specific domain.

I’m not sure if they can extend that sort of access to non-employees, though. I’ve only heard of guests buying full-priced tickets to go in with CMs.

It may be that OP has already been told by a CM acquaintance that "Sorry, no can do" and is trying to verify, is hesitant to ask a CM acquaintance before knowing the answer, or is trying to pull a 'fast one'. Regardless, IMO either answer the question or refer the post to a mod to 'deal with'.

                  She.
And contrarywise, I'm not bumming anything by free admission. By that logic, anyone who gets a card in via cast member assistance is bumming.

Honestly, it all depends on exactly what you do for The Disneyland Resort. If you are a churro carter...Good luck. If you are in Marketing and/or Sales/Artist Rep your manager can get you same day access.

Most every single person who gets in via CM assistance is via a friend or relative.

If you're getting in on a stranger's pass, you're bumming.

                        correct.
Which is correct? You're verifying (meaning you don't trust your friend), are hesitant to ask your friend (meaning he's not that close of a friend), or are trying to pull a fast one?

im totally trying to pull a fast one and accept the offer of free entry via my friend who works the Disneyland hotel but he's just as up in the air about final confirmation on some details due to covid restriction updates and blackout dates , and per his suggestion during lack of update on his end when not working, I'm asking around to see if we can collectively get a final answer on the matter. Absolutely looking to bum.

Or you could have checked the thread and seen that my reply was tagged as "originally posted by Stormy" when saying correct. then again, you were far too concerned with being the buzzkill of MiceChat , so it may have gone unregistered.

Yes and No. There is no definitive answer for various reasons. If you have a CM friend, they need to find out the details themselves, as they would have the resources to do so and to check availability for their admission abilities...If they are unsure, and they are the one who made the offer to you, it's on them to figure it out by using the aforementioned resources and/or asking other CMs who have done it recently. Reservation Availability for March (for cms) may not even be available yet.

First of all, sorry for my initial disrespect a month ago. Disney passion should be respected, even if it doesn't completely align with my fanatacism.

To dig way too deep into your question. I hold a license for what I do and I dont have to physically be at the gate to let people in. If you used to know a CM from the 70's or even early 80's...they no longer exist. I still try to act like it is true, but it is not. Disney has employees now that would rather congregate in groups and have guests overhear their gripes than make it a magical expirience....Sad but true.

I watch my old Walt docs, tencennial and such...and dream of a previous time(before mine).

I believe in the magic, it is still there...its just clouded.

So your "friend" couldn't ask the 1000s of other cast members how to do it? Or did your friend tell you, "Hey....go on micechat and ask for me."
