  • Need advice: No dining RSVPs - are there any options?

I've been trying for weeks to get dining reservations for when we are in the parks (this Monday-Friday, Nov 29-Dec 3). I've signed up for alerts from Mousewatcher, etc - but. Even when they do come thru, they are gone before I can hit the button.

Obviously, we will be able to find food in the park. But. Are there any options for the sit-down places? If we go to Blue Bayou (for example) at the start of the day, can we still get on a list for dinner time? Or is that unlikely? Same question for the Star Wars land cantina - any tips or tricks?

Any advice would be welcome. And thanks!

Anything that has a walk up list (which you can see by looking at the Disneyland app) you can try day of from within the parks. I know Oga’s Cantina has a walk up list. I don’t know about Blue Bayou.

I, too, have been unsuccessful at nabbing dining reservations in the park. I was, however, easily able to make dining reservations at places in Downtown Disney through the app Open Table (non Disney restaurants).

        x2.

Also in the case of Blue Bayou, I've heard of some people getting real lucky and checking with staff to see if any reservations have been canceled or if there have been no-shows. It might be good to check but be warned that there might be a line of people asking the same question.

Also... Oga’s and Blue Bayou are the most difficult to get reservations for. Oga’s has high demand. Blue Bayou has high demand and very little space. Other places that take reservations are easier to get reservations when someone cancels, like River Belle Terrace, or the many great restaurants over in CA Adventure.

Honestly, not to be devils advocate but...A reservation these days still means you show up at the right time and an hour after your reservation you might get a table because of the backlog and lack of employees. Kind of a bummer, but you arent missing out.
