  • World's Largest TUBACHRISTMAS Event Attempt in DTD 12/21

This year the famous Tuba Christmas event in Downtown Disney will be attempting a world record Tuba Christmas event at Downtown Disney on December 21 at 2PM. They are attempting to get 800 tuba and euphonium players to play together outside the ESPN Zone. I've played the Anaheim Tuba Christmas several times and it is always a wonderful show. I will be playing this year also. So if you know any tuba/euphonium players or if you play tuba/euph yourself, come down and join us. If you don't play, come watch. It's guaranteed to be a great time. More info at the link below:

    Any room for clarinet players?

Sounds great! Too bad I have to work -- you think it would be possible to move it up to 4 or 5 so I can see it after I get off of work?

    In any case have fun!

I'm not the organizer so probably not. I'm just one of the faceless masses.

Thanks for the info - very cool. I forwarded this link to a euphonium-playing friend of mine.
        She did it!

Eh, too bad I only own a Bass Trombone and not a Euph or a Tuba... Though I play those as well.

Do they accept Sousaphones or just Tubas? I've got an email into Pat as well.

            Thanks,
            Steve

They have plenty of sousaphones generally.

I played Tuba/Sousaphone through high school, but haven't picked it up since. I loved doing the TubaChristmas in Atlanta. If I actually owned my own horn, I'd be there in a heartbeat.

Beg, borrow or steal a horn, folks!

                    Okay, don't steal.

Heh. They won't be in the park, fortunately. They were trying to get it on the esplanade this year, but I guess Disney said no.
