  • [Question] SoCal Discount Bucket

It’s a long shot, but can anyone confirm if there are separate buckets for SoCal discount tickets and full-priced tickets? In other words, does the reservation calendar reflect what might be available for SoCal folks (excluding weekends)?

That is a good question, curious to hear the answer.

I would guess not. There's not a different reservation calendar for SoCal and full price tickets.

It would probably break some rule, or get us in trouble with Disney. But all the users here should probably make a thread and start a habit of, daily taking screen shots of the current availability calenders, to compare between different teirs, tickets, socal tickets, etc. That way we could see in semi real time the discrepancies and prove or disprove the "different buckets/teirs" theory.

I would assume not. It's still a 'day ticket' even if it's at a reduced price.

Normally I would say to assume that you're in the same reservation pool as day passes until Disney says otherwise. But that's not the case with Magic Key, and Disney still doesn't disclose that it's a different reservation pool. There's really only one way to find out, unfortunately.

Thank you for the advice everyone. I’ll give this SoCal deal a try and report back what I find. 👍 Looking at MLK week so it’ll really be put to the test.
