I HOPE it's only down for refurbishment. But sadly, there seems to always be the possibility that it could be in the boneyard, being used for parts for the others. Or at the very least, currently unusable because of staffing or such.

You can see all three in the roundhouse from I-5 South. And I saw Orange in December, albeit only one time.
They only operate two Monorail trains at a time. Usually one is in refurbishment at all times. They cannot have more than one Monorail driving 'inside the park' or the override system shuts down the entire Monorail. If an incorrect dispatch occurs at either station this can occur - especially if the driver speeds out of the DTD station. The 'inside the park' portion actually starts inbound in front of the western side of the Disneyland front gates and ends on the outbound along Harbor. The power is cut and they have to tow both units to the roundhouse to restart service so it becomes hours of downtime. I learned this the hard way years ago riding with the pilot.
On a slightly different topic - I wonder if they're ever going to repaint the trains after the Mickey decal debacle? (The Mickey decals were apparently the wrong material and ate into the clear coat ruining the paint job supposedly). The sample artwork for the new mid-century modern Downtown Disney shows a completely new paint job reminiscent of the WDW monorail fleet - white with color stripe/accents.
Also wonder if due to COVID and security concerns we have seen the last of riding in the nose compartment with the pilot. WDW stopped years ago. DLR hasn't loaded the nose since reopening the Monorail.
