  • Disney buys land near Lake Elsinore?

My brother in law heard this on Black Friday. Take it with a grain of salt. I have no verification, I have been searching the internet all day for info to no avail and was wondering if anyone else has heard anything like this? He lives in Lake Elsinore and over heard someone say "Disney has purchased land in this area!" It could be Menifee area or Murrieta or Lake Elsinore.

    "This guy!"

^^ OMG no way! I've lived out here (Temecula) for how long and I never knew about this warehouse! Where exactly is it? If Disney really has brought property out here that would be awesome!

That's where the new Cast Member Parking Lot will be, after the third park takes over the current area.

I remember friends shopping for a house in the 80s and the realtor saying they were going to clean up the lake. Maybe 30 years later it will come true!

Probably a great place for a non-theme-park resort. See Hawaii, for example.

I actually found out last week that there is no warehouse store there. There was suppose to be one at the Lake Elsinore Outlet Center and the deal fell thru. I went over there specifically looking for it...oh well....

they should move the grand californian hotel there and build a separate monorail track to go from the elsinore location over to a 'rail station where the hotel is now

that way there is more room for expansion for disneys california adventure........

                  just a thought........

I don't know if I'd call it falling through. There has been one there on more than one occasion, but it was always temporary. Not sure if they have one this year.

There were rumors floating about back in the 90's of that being Disney's idea for a location for California Adventure. They wanted to build right up to the lake on the southern side (basically where all the offroading and motocross areas are) but Elsinore didn't think their city could handle the crowds. Disney assured them that they would help build infastructure and would bring many jobs to the area, but officials didn't even want to think about it.
