  • Resort Hotel Restaurants...what's great??

We will be at DL on Saturday night, but, have a son coming to town who can't get into DL til Sunday, because he bought a 2 day parkhopper...so...I am looking for suggestions for 4 adults, for dinner on Saturday night. My son is 28, so, not a child.

I'd love to know what you suggest for resort hotel restaurants??? And, why you like it? I'd like mid-range price-wise, as none of us can afford a $200 dinner!

    Thanks gang!

I've always liked Storytellers Cafe, but it's not the cheapest. Not the most expensive either.

Rainforest Cafe has great food as well. I like that place better than ESPN Zone.

    Have fun!

If you are looking specifically for resort hotel restaurants, none of them are particularly inexpensive. We really enjoyed Yamabuki in the Paradise Pier.

There are also plenty of restaurants in DTD, House of Blues, Ralph Brennen's.

I stay away from storytellers now. We've eaten there 3 times and 2 of the times were very ill afterwards.

Google Disneyland Menus and you will find a couple of sites that have the menus for the hotels and DTD. That should help you make a choice.

I've been to Storytellers several times and haven't had any problem.

One reason that might be a good place to have dinner with your son is that you'll actually be able to hear him talk. Many of the places in DTD are pretty loud.

Don't forget to use your AP for discounts!! Depending on what you have, whether you appetize or dessert afterwards, Hook's Pointe is nice...great views (be sure to tell them you're celebrating!).
Just countin' the days til the next visit!

Yeah, Hook's Pointe would be a nice mid-range Resort eatery. Great food!

                Enjoy!

I love Hooks Pointe and they are one of the less expensive resort restaurants. My daughter and I ate there on our last trip and we just ordered four different appetizers instead of a meal for about the same price. And all four appetizers were delicious! The clam chowder is really good too!

If you don't order expensive wine, the four of you can get out of Napa Rose with a starter and an entree for under $250.

714-300-7170 after 5pm for reservations. Ask for "Saucy" to be your server. You'll never have service like that anywhere ever again.

Hooks Pointe, is my personal favorite DLR restaurant. Located in the DLH (adjascent to Lost Boys Bar, near the Pool)
I just ate there on Thanksgiving. They were very sweet as we ordered the special Turkey dinner, which came with desert, and as I am diabetic, they sent someone over to Goofy's Kitchen and brought me back a sugar free slice of cheese cake!
Delicious mesquite grilled food, by the way.
                        Have fun!!!

Napa Rose is my favorite. It is quiet and as long as you are careful with the wine list your meals are not too expensive. The food if great and the service is excellent.

Are you talking about this Saturday Dec 1st? Some of the restaurants maybe fairly packed depending on what time you want to eat because of Candlelight. They did dinner packages at some of the restaurants, so you may have to wait till the dining package people are done. I could be wrong, they may have kept some reservations open for people not on the dining packages.
