  • Actual Animation on Indiana Jones Adventure

Mouseplanet has posted a Disneyland top 3 list and this drew my attention:
Mike picked the Indiana Jones Adventure as his number three choice. He liked it a whole lot better before the ripped out the actual animation portion of the attraction.
What do they mean by actual animation portion?

I think he means the original slide show in the queue...the safety spiel, before it was cut down...

Could he be referring to the motion base being reprogrammed so it wasn't so rough?

Not completely sure but I would also agree with the movie, or possibly the missing pole, or the failed ceiling effect... depends.

Nope, it was taken out before the attraction opened due to some insurance guys complaining how dangerous the effect would be.

How much was the film cut by? As far as I can tell, only Sallah's speech got cut down. The rest of the backstory is still there.

They changed the order of it, to make Sallah's speech shorter and more regular. This happened when they changed the queue.

A lot was cut out. Each segment you see now is a very shortened version of what used to be there.

Which failed ceiling effect are you refrencing? I know the collapsing ceiling was working for the first few months.

I went on the attraction about a month ago , with my wife and the ceiling effect was working on that day. In response to TDR Fan, the ceiling worked for a very long time after the attraction opened up. With time, there was damage to the pole, which had to be fixed periodically, so there were times that that effect did not work at all.

The saftey spiel/backstory has almost 2 minutes cut out of the original film, which is pretty sad.

                              The heck you say.
That effect hasn't been working since two months after the attraction opened.
