  • Disneyland Resort Christmas Decor -

Now that the Christmas Holiday is passed, in your estimation, how did the 'decor' rate? Was there any place in the park that did great or any place in the park that was lacking? Not just the park - how about the entire resort????

Well, in my estimation, as a whole, the place looks great. However, the Castle could have been decorated from the backside to add decor to Fantasyland. As well, Fantasyland was lacking in decor, as we could tell. There are billboards all over Southern California depicting Dumbo with a Christmas Wreath around his neck, so I expected to see them on Dumbo early on - and there was nothing. Those billboards are also at the Tram Stop at Mickey And Friends Parking Structure......Fantasyland was really lacking....and so was Tomorrowland - but then Tomorrowland is just lacking all year round these days anyway......

So, what are your ideas for next year? Do you see room for improvement or maybe you think there was 'too much'.

    Express your views.

    Happy New Year!

    The Christmas Holidays have passed????

Disney doesn't think so, the Decorations and special events will still be going strong thru January 6th. Heck, "it's a small world holiday" won't close until Janaury 22nd.

I am not happy that they have all but stopped decorating the resort side across the street. There used to be icicle lights on all the buildings and a large outside tree with boxes and sleds around the bottom. This year there were a few, small indoor trees and some other indoor decorations, but nothing outside. It really stands out against the saturation decorating at Disneyland.

I thought that Fantasyland was lacking beyond the castle, too. The walkway to IASW was nice, with the differently themed wreaths, but other than that there wasn't much to be seen. I think the area with the best decor was NOS, and it was certainly pretty, day or night.
