  • Opus Archives: Bobby Sherman's Miniature Main Street

From the video section of the Opus Archives comes this fun clip showcasing 60's & 70's pop and teen icon Bobby Sherman's backyard scale model of Disneyland's Main Street, U.S.A.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=http:...?v=mQ2roV8Qzmo

The video is from approximately 1985.

Anyone here have any such home-grown Disneyland related projects in your backyard, basement, attic, garage, or elsewhere?

I think it is pretty cool that he did the work himself.

Impressive--a little more to Bobby Sherman than meets the eye. Smart guy--make your money, enjoy it, and don't look back (I believe he also has/is into breeding/racing thoroughbreds).

Thanks for that great link! I'm very impressed that he was able to get that level of detail on his own.

As for my backyard, all I have so far is the waterwheel and a few fireflies on order. But I'm still working on it.

And...Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous? Man does THAT take me back....

I have signature display turned off in my MiceChat preferences, so I had to go to your profile to find the link. Wow...I'm impressed! Well done!

Many Micechaters already know about my backyard, but I have my backyard all decked out Disney style.... Big Thunder Mine, Pirate's Lair.. and my own show Animazment! its pretty much like Fantasmic without the actors. Its a special effects show featuring fountains, lasers, lighting, pyrotechnics all in sync with Disney music.
