  • Disneyland for a day!

Happy New Year! It's been a crazy winter break, and now that school has started, I'm already procrastinating and reluctant to pick up that 500 page book. So instead, I'll post up my TR before I really get in over my head.

This Christmas, my family spent the holidays in Newport Beach, at the Marriott Villas. Nice place. Anyways, day after Christmas, my sister, her friend from Murrieta, and I went to Disneyland! I knew the crowds were going to be horrendous, but I'm only in SoCal every so often!

    I've never parked here before...

Meet my super excited (and crazy) sister. =P

When I was little, I remember looking up and seeing these flags and that Mickey symbol. For some reason I was mesmerized...

On the way to get our tickets!

"Hold still, I can see Maingate in your sunglasses."

While I was taking a picture of this, the CM looked at my sister funny, and my sister was like "She reallllly loves Disneyland." The CM laughed and said she understood.

Sidenote: $91 for non-Southern California residents for a one-day park hopper?? I realllllllly gotta get an Annual Passport now...

Had to explain to my sister what YOAMD was... sigh

    Doesn't it just blend wonderfully?

As you can see, Main Street is already pretty crowded at 10am.

"They taste like Christmas!!!" (no ornaments were actually licked)

    I love the smell

    crowds and more crowds!

    more crowds... =(

    First on the list!

Even though the queue sign said 10 minutes.. we went upstairs and had a 20 minute wait. PHEW.

First time I sat by the skipper.. and look what she has.. haha!

The only place where animals gather together in such close proximities.

    Made up to Tarzan's Treehouse!

    Down, kitty!

My sister absolutely loved what they did to HM. I still can't believe two 18 year olds and a 21 year old fit on one doombuggy... with room still left over!

    Time for Pirate's Lair!

I've never seen the Columbia with that many people on it!

Punching Jack! (haha sounds like a child's game)

I thought the French pirate was cute... =P

    She's not working hard enough.

Waiting for BTMRR... we're probably near the exit by the evil McDonalds wagon. I've never waited that long for BTMRR.

    Yeah, see how crowded?

I can't even see the floor!

Time to pay a visit to the reindeer!

    Finally the parade.

    Hi Minnie!

Finally we headed to DCA. Didn't ride much there.

    I love Aladdin!!

Finally we used our Fastpasses for Soarin'

Unfortunately, the Santa Ana winds were really picking up, so where were no fireworks. =(

The night ended with TWO back to back rides on Space Mountain. The kiddies wanted to go to Fantasyland, but after midnight, they don't let you on the rides anymore. Too bad. So we shuffled our tired feet back to the car and went home.

    Hope you enjoyed it!

I thought I was holding it correctly.

Oh wow. You stayed at the Newport Coast Villas. Cool! I live like 2 miles from there! Did you know that Disney originally was going to build timeshares there but gave up on it and sold to Mariott?

Glad you had a nice trip and nice to see that you were able to enjoy yourself and stay off property at the same time (It is possible, folks!)

Thanks for the fun trip report!
Anything listed on the park maps as an attraction is fair game for inclusion in the Rally.
I cannot confirm nor deny the inclusion of any attraction in the Rally.
