  • Quasi Trip Report from 1/1-1/6: Attack of the Montages

This year marked my second annual January Disneyland excursion with a bunch of my friends, and it was fantastic. I might do an honest-to-goodness Trip Report sometime in the near future, but for now I'd like to share a couple of quickie video summations I slapped together.

This first one, set to the song "Ever After" from Enchanted, is all perky and full of inside jokes. You can find an explanation of some of the more obscure moments in my journal.

The sequel video is what I refer to as "Disneyland '08 Montage II: The Schmaltzening". All slow-mo, all the time! Sappier than the entire nation of Canada! A love-letter to sheer sentimentality! I think it's totally adorable.

That shot at the end is my favorite; it was just such a sweet, perfect little moment.

Anyway. Hope those proved entertaining to a few of you!

Great videos! But I have two questions, where was the shot of Snow White taken (she looked like she was telling a story)? Also, the dancers in gold in the first video, what show is that?

Looks like you and your friends had a great time!

The Snow White footage was taken in front of the Animation building in DCA; they have a little cottage set up out there as part of the Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs anniversary exhibit. The dancers with the golden flag-thingys are from the Aladdin show.

Great to see people are enjoying the videos!

Anyway, I absolutely love your videos! Not only are the editing and composition fabulous, but you got some pretty darn awesome footage as well! I too got a bit sappy watching the part with Snow White walking off hand-in-hand with the two little girls. :gladsad:

Can't wait to see any more videos you put up in the future!

That last shot of your's should be in a commercial. Beautiful.

Whoa! Nice catch! We Storyteller fans are few and far between these days! I adore that show so much, it's ridiculous. (Case in point: When out shopping with my best friend, it's inevitable that one of us will hold up a bag and ask the other person what it is; when it is correctly identified as a sack, said person will then be commanded to "get in it!") Great to see someone else familiar with the series on here!

And thanks again for all the positive comments, everyone!
