  • Will there be crowds for MLK this monday?

i'm going for sure on monday, but i wanted to bring a friend who doesn't go that often and i want to make sure we can get around to everything with out having to bother with huge crowds. a more comfortable visit.

i thought it was kind of tricky and can go both ways... it is off season, and a monday, but it's a holiday, and no school. does anyone recall MLK crowds in the past?

    thanks.

    This sticky is helpful:

When will it be busy at Disneyland in 2008?

According to that linked thread, who was started by some REALLY smart guy ...

This weekend is NAMM (which is one of the, if not the biggest show held at the convention center) and MLK weekend.

So ... count on it being busy.

We're going also and I'm hoping that it isn't too bad. The convention thing scares me more than the school holiday, though. My daughter and I went on Veteran's Day (also a Monday holiday) and it was beautiful but Sat and Sun were huge (park closing) crowds. Schools in the area are not all off on the 21st. Some were off this Monday, while others will be off this Friday.

Well I can tell you that some of the surrounding cities ALL have MLK off!
Be prepared for a big crowd. I know I am but I'm going to just take it easy and not stress...if the lines are long then so be it!

                Yup.
We should make a sticky at the top of the forum for busy crowd days.

Sunday will be a worse-than-average Sunday than Monday's worse-than-average Monday will be.

To top that off, they are expecting upwards of 89,000 in for this convention AND...the NAMM convention organizers have made it clear to Anaheim that unless they get more hotel space in town by next year, they may just move to another city. (Today's OC Register.)

Each year, this monster convention keeps getting bigger!

Oh no! Is there any way to stop it?
                    Let's see:
                    1. Some high-pitched noise.
                    2. Electric power lines.
                    3. Flamethrowers.
                    4. Beauty.
                    5. Electric transformer.
                    6. Electric cable attached to a spear.
                    7. Nitroglycerin-charged car.
                    8. Dynamite.

(Thank you, wiki entry for MST 3000!)

                      This website may help

                      http://www.scottware.com.au/theme/feature/crowds.htm
When I go to Disneyland, I tune my FRS Radio to channel 2, without a quiet code. They're faster than a cell phone and you can talk to a whole group at a time, and you don't have to get everyone's cell phone number in advance.
