And we continue to maintain forums for your posting convenience. But with all those options, we can't be everywhere all the time. We need YOUR help. Please don't poke the trolls. Report posts and leave reputation. We'll do our best to keep the forums clean and active, but we can't do so without your help.

          i didnt realise you'd be loading them from right there, I assumed you'd load them from within the ride building. wow

                The large rotunda is a shop. The 2 game areas that are currently coverd in plastic is queue area.

                    Why must every major ride added nowdays have a gift shop at the exit? The best compliment I can give DCA opening day, is that you didn't exit through any gift shops.

                      My guess for the open load area would prob be to give the feel of the old victorian pier days, most rides loaded outdoors.

                        As much as people complain about this, it works. People do buy stuff at a ride exit's store. For me, I think it kind of saves real estate. And if someone doesn't want to ride, they can just browse in the store while they wait. They can be looking at something instead sitting around doing nothing.

                          Reminds me of how the haunted pirate dark ride they had at the Balboa Fun Zone was loaded. Unfortunately this closed a couple years back to make way for the expansion of the Newport Harbor Nautical Museum.

                            They closed that? I loved the ride when I was little. It will be missed. Most rides loaded outside because most of them were more carnival type of attractions.

                              Thats what victorian rides were, carnival based rides.
