  • What "one" word describes Disneyland?

When I visited Disneyland for the first time, beginning on the 16th until the 22nd of July, the one word that I kept saying was "beautiful".

When I first entered the entrance plaza, I called it beautiful. Everything, from the pavement, to the bricks, to the turnstiles, the architecture, the paint job, the banners, the signs, the landscaping, - just beautiful.

You have beautiful Disneyland on the right, California Adventure on the left and Downtown Disney straight ahead. That's one beautiful setup. Being a WDW veteran, where everything is so far apart, I just loved the fact that everything at the Disneyland Resort is so close together.

You can start the day at Fantasyland, hop over to DCA for a ride on Soarin (or my favorite, the Sun Wheel), have lunch and shop at Downtown Disney, and return to Disneyland Park to catch Jiminy Cricket in the Parade. A short walk will most likely get you back to your hotel for a nap, and/or a swim and you can then enjoy the beauty of any of the assorted nightime spectaculars.

Now the crowds at the fireworks and Fantasmic are anything but beautiful, but the first time I saw Tinkerbell fly, she was. I was walking down Thunder Mountain Trail after the first Fantasmic and Tinkerbell, unexpectedly, flew over. She was beautiful all golden and her green outfit just dazzled me.

You see beeuty in every day things. 5 of us were walking through the hub, and headed down Main Street, sharing a Mickey bucket of popcorn. Now popcorn has a way of spilling. No matter how neat you try to be - well a cast member had it swept up in no time, leaving the ground, so neat and pretty.

The castle, of course, is beautiful, but so are the mountains: Space and Splash, and Big Thunder, and of course the majestic Matterhorn. There is beauty in the faces. The cast members, the guests, the characters.

The anniversary day just sparkled with all of the beautiful golden mouse ears.

So what do you think? Is there one word, that better describes Disneyland. I used that word "beautiful" a lot during my trip.

          Expensive.
Well, light travels from the sun. Then, bounces off of our planet, and back into our eyes so we can perceive color. My body can intercept that light and dance around on it!

                    stress-reducer
                    Good morning, son
                    In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
                    It was pain
                    Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...
