Has anyone found out if the teacups are finished reburbing yet? Are they spinning again? I'll be going on Sunday anyway. Want to say goodbye to Mr. Lincoln, and see the floating Leota head!

I think someone has left the shower running ...

The Tea Cups were supposed to come back yesterday, but they won't operate them in the rain, so I doubt anyone has ridden them yet, except some lucky CM's who got to test them....
I can report that they were back in place on Tuesday, but the refurb wall was still up.
Yes, I saw the teacups yesterday, sitting in the rain, waiting for me. But as ususal, they and Alice were shut down because of the rain.
They had the teacups working on THURSDAY. As soon as I saw them working (knowing that they weren't supposed to be running until the next day) I ran over and jumped on (after getting off Matterhorn).
THEY DO NOT SPIN FASTER!!!
I repeat...
THEY DO NOT SPIN FASTER!!!
It's the same old story. After about 30 seconds everyone on the ride is just kicking back in the teacup, looking around to see if anyone could get their cup spinning...
I'm honestly suprised they still keep the cups, since the whole idea is done at so many carnivals and parks now anyway. I know there a bit of a classic, but far better rides have been sent to Yesterland.
Well, if you want to get some fast spinnage, you can go to DCA for your fix. In the stupid "A Bug's Land", they have a Frances ride or whatever. It goes really fast. Like, to the nauseating point. Oh, and please don't look at the plates you're spinning on until AFTER you've ridden it.
"Somebody need me too much; somebody know me too well. Somebody pull me up short, and put me through hell, and give me support for being alive. Make me alive. Make me alive! Make me confused; mock me with praise. Let me be used. Vary my days. But alone is alone, not alive. Somebody crowd me with love, somebody force me to care. Somebody let me come through, I'll always be there as frightened as you, to help us survive being alive." --"Being Alive" Company Stephen Sondheim
I don't care if they don't spin that fast. I guess I'm just a geek that loves to be in that area and just hear the music. When I go on that ride, I usually don't like it to spin, it's just fun having it just whirl around.
Cant say I am too surprised. Disney has repeatably lied time and again about things like this, that they have absolutely ZERO, zilch, nada credibility with me personally anymore. I never ever beleive a word they say now until I see it for myself, never again am I going to implicitly trust them on anything. They are going to have to earn any kind of trust back, and its going to take a LOT for them to do that. spinless cups is spineless managment.
well the height of lunacy is that all the other teacup rides in the other Disney parks still spin; wdw's does, and the seaweed cups in Disney sea do (and they are supposed to be more a kiddy ride).
As for the Matt comment... I will wait and see, I am still not sure he is the savior people think he is. I see good things happening, but whether they can be all of Matt's doing or not, is debatable. I would love to beleive the park finally has someone in charge that cares, but again that trust has been broken too many times in the past and I will not fall for it again.
