    In before Peoplemover.

In all seriousness, I love the idea of a new TRON. However, I honestly don't know how well it will do. If it does well, maybe they can have a 3D movie in Tomorrowland or something. I would love to see a Light Cycle ride though.

I'll give it a wait & see attitude but I must admit, it's the best theming we've seen in Tomorrowland for some time.

I guess the theming is more appropriate than anything in TL recently, and I did think the Tron part on PM was cool for its time, but I really always thought the original movie was pretty lame. So, overall I wouldn't be completely opposed to something Tron coming to TL, but I'd also like to take the wait and see approach on this one...Hopefully Disney will do the same.
The Mickey audience is not made up of people; it has no racial, national, political, religious or social differences or affiliations; the Mickey audience is made up of parts of people, of that deathless, precious, ageless, absolutely primitive remnant of something in every world-wracked human being which makes us play with children’s toys and laugh without self-consciousness at silly things, and sing in bathtubs, and dream and believe that our babies are uniquely beautiful. You know…the Mickey in us.

Light Cycles .. on the PM track?
Tron started by taking over the Speed Tunnel, now it's moving to take over all of the PM!

Again, I have asked 'Bit', star of the 1985 Disney movie 'Tron' to join us to see if he can shed some light on the newest of Tron re-make rumors.

FS: "It's great to see you again, Bit, and thanks for making time in your busy schedule to join us. We hope you are doing well."

              BIT: "YES"
FS: "Have you been contacted about reprising your pivotal role for the upcoming Tron project?"

              BIT: "NO"
FS: "Do you have any interest in appearing in the new Tron project, even as a cameo?"

              BIT: "YES"
FS: "Do you think the project will ever get off the ground?"

              BIT: "YESNO"
FS: "Can we put you down for a 'maybe', then?"

              BIT: "YES"
FS: "One more question: If trends are to be considered here, would working with Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers in the rumored Tron film be a problem for you?"

              BIT: "YESYESYESYESYESYESYESYES"
FS: "They are too one-dimensional for ya, huh?"

              BIT: "YES"

              There you have it all--straight from the horse's BIT!! I mean BIT's mouth...I mean horse's mouth..I mean...forget it.

Wait a friggin' minute here. I thought all of you guys (me included) were unhip to the idea of Tomorrowland becoming a movie showcase?

Does the policy now change because "Tron" was once featured in the People Mover?

As for me, I'd rather have new original attractions.

Oh, I know. The probability of that is slim. But one likes to hope for the best...

HISTA was original, I'll try my luck blindly with Tron.

For about a month, but then you have to factor in the time it was at WDW before we got stuck with it too....

So would I, but if they must base a ride on a movie, what better for the theme then Tron.

                            Re: Tomorrowland and TRON?

I grew up during the TRON era and I can't even remember much about it. I think people were quite interested in something like the "Transformers" movie because it proved to have longevity over the years. Ressurecting that frachise made a lot of sense. TRON, on the other hand, wasn't something that really had a long-lasting impact.

I just can't see DL investing a lot of cash and time into something like TRON unless it proves to be a success at the box office in this day and age. Personally, I'm not sure that it does. Do kids today even know anything about TRON? Every new Disney attraction is usually created with them in mind. So if they don't know it, it ain't happening.
