  • How can I legally get a look at backstage Disneyland?

I think it would be extremely cool to see how Disneyland ticks. And going back stage would be amazing. I know its probably impossible to go back there without being a cast member. But does anyone have any ideas?

you can get to some back stage areas, but you have to go when the park is insanely crowded. Then they let you exit through backstage.

Also, when I did the choc walk we went through one back stage area. I guess we walked by the cafeteria...IDK...

Being backstage is nothing special. There is really nothing to look at.

All the magic is onstage. All there is behind is a bunch of work buildings. When you cross the yellow line, all the pixie dust just falls off.

A Job or a Tour is your best bet...well with out getting kicked out.
Having explored every last bit of it (3rd shift custodial) I can honestly say there are a few things that I was lucky to see and change your whole view on the park as a whole. But thats like 10% the rest is truly nothing special.

Honesty, some CMs will agree with me, but backstage is nothing special, but buildings, it's messy and dirty, and just ruin the magic.

Well maybe the OP isnt just talking about seeing the Inn Between maybe what they mean by backstage is seeing how star tours works or walking space mountain or seeing the top of the matterhorn.

It REALLY isnt anythign speacial, im sad to say after going with Band, the magic died a bit =( .We were backstage by Parade float barn, and backstage of Small world/mainstreet. It all smelt like trash, it was messy. Then when I walked off of POC we walked up like 3 flights of stairs and the lockers underground smelt nasty..... so ya.... not that great :/

When I was working I had to get from Toontown to tommorwland FAST. and a vary nice CM showed me the way. It was interesting to be able to see parts of the park from the backstage perspective. It was even a little nutty. But thats just me. I love how every one is basically saying "THERE'S NOTHING TO LOOK AT KEEP MOVING" LOL

I've been backstage twice :yea: so far, both times legal. Once was a 101 on Splash, and we were walked out through backstage, and the other was after the holiday fireworks, we were routed through Main Street backstage. I must say, that despite the few dirty parts I saw, I was (and still am) excited to be able to go back there! I hope I get to again!!

It doesn't ruin the magic for me. I, like Datameister, am fascinated by the nitty-gritty, inner-workings of the park. )
