  • Californiland: The California Kingdom

well if you wanted to get technical about it

    Hollywood would be the Tomorrowland

    LA should be mainstreet?

San Fran should be New Orleans?

    the Pier should be fantasyland

A Bugs land should be Toontown

    Golden State would be Adventureland

the Farm would be Critter Country (if they hadn't had it easten by Flicks fair)

    Condor Flats would be Frontierland

the Sun Icon would be the castle

nooooooo you got it all mixed up

Hollywood would be mainstreet, since if you look at it is essentially a long street. Make that the mainstreet, the GRR the fantasyland so you walk thru the bear logo symbolizing California

Or maybe California Adventure would be the Parking Lot, and Main Street would be Main Street, and Adventureland would be Adventureland...

but right now Hollywood has so much in common with Tomorrowland it's dead right now, it's theme involves technology (in this case ways of illusion but it's sorta related) it has more indoor rides and exposed buildings then other lands and um it may one day grow into the Tomorrowland of DCA

GRR is Adventureland because it takes up about as much space and Jungle Cruise and involves going through water and adventure (as well as nature type feel)

the Pier is fantasyland because the boardwalk has fantasyish overtones and um they both have a carasoul

what im TRYING to say is that if they layed it out like Disneyland, with hollywood pictures backlot as the mainstreet, a hub, etc., they could pack in more rides, thus making it funner to go to.

yes and no, if they'd built it like Disneyland and opend it with alot of the early rides being built INSIDE a Berm and then building outside of it with more intricatly themed rides then yes they could do more with Disneyland style construction

however theme wise Hollywood leaves many things wide open as far as rides go, which is probably why alot of the new rides are backlot themed

and themepark wise it's against the rules to put big rides in the entryway (you want the big rides as far back as possible I think)
