  • What do you think is the Next Major Movie Franchise Attraction?

Well, today, Disneyland has holds three of history's biggest movie franchises within it's doors. They adapated the Star Wars frachise in the 1980's with the debut of Star Tours. They adapted the Indiana Jones franchise in the 1990's with the Indiana Jones Adventure. And most recently in the 2000's, they adapted the Pirates of the Caribbean frachise with the renovation of the original pirates ride as well as Pirate's Lair. What big movie franchise would you say is next for Disneyland. I would love them to create a mutual friendship with Peter Jackson as they did with George Lucas in the 80's and create a Lord of the Rings attraction, I think that would be awesome. It is possible that the next franchise attraction could be based on the Chronicles of Narnia films, if they prove successful. So with that said, what do you think Disneyland's next big movie frachise attraction will be?

Hmm.. I think they might be able to do something with the Narnia movies. I recently saw the trailer for the new Narnia Prince Caspian movie coming out this summer and it looks pretty good. I enjoyed the first movie as well. There are what five or six books from that series? That leaves a lot of room for ideas on some sort of attraction.

Narnia, at least they already have the rights to it.

I think Lord of the Rings would be a great idea for an attraction but where to put it, that is the question.

Well No Country for Old Men is set in rural west Texas, and Disney owns the movie, so perhaps this could lead a Frontierland resurgence.

Innoventions! Innoventions! Just designate it as part of Fantasyland, like the Matterhorn was some time ago! Or if desperate, use the real estate where the Fantasyland Theater is now sitting.

Wherever they put it, I would love to see Disney create a LOTR attraction. It'd be the perfect answer-back to Universal's Harry Potter ride.

ORWEN: Oh, it's most definitely going to be RAPUNZEL--after she's been released from her tower room. You just KNOW there's going to have to be newly erected towers in each Disney theme park around the globe--so that male guests will be able to climp up the long braid that will be hanging down from a window. If they reach the top, they'll be winners of kisses and who knows what else?!?! I can hardly wait to see the competition begin!! I wanna' see how high each man is able to rise to the occasion!!!
