  • Original Submarine Voyage Concept Art?

    Hey!

So here's something I was wondering about...after reading Art of Disneyland and the book that came with the Musical History of Disneyland box set and scouring the web, I'm pretty surprised to see almost no original concept art for the Submarine Voyage -- and you'd think there'd be plenty, given the tons of different scenes and settings...I mean I can understand there being not much there for the Phantom Boats, or whatever, but the Submarine Voyage?

I was wondering if a) anybody knows why this is or b) where I could find some? Favorite ride of all time, etc etc.

I take it by everybody's non-answer that no such concept art exists.

There isn't much, seems like there would be. I'll dig through my books and I'll see what I can find.

I don't have any, but it certainly existed at some point. Here's Walt with an executive from General Dynamics (the sub's first sponsor) showing off concept artwork of some of the attraction's planned sets:

Yeah, I've never seen any, either. It'd be interesting to see some...
