Click on "Fun Stuff" - there's great overhead shot of the Marina concept (black and white unfortunately).
    Such a wonderful book, too!

Black and white? There is a concept picture of the Marina in color but I don't see a B&W one. I will also post some Marina pictures on my blog very soon http://www.magicalhotel.blogspot.com.

Glad you like the book. It's almost sold out and there won't be a second printing.

OK, now I see the B&W one. I'll post some color shots on the blog.

I loved that Paddle boat area. I have many fond memories of that spot.

I have that book and it is one of my favorite Disney history books. Great photos! I love to look at the old DL Hotel photos and then while we are staying there when we go to DL, imagine what used to be where we are walking. It is amazing the changes the old gal has gone through. Still our favorite hotel.

I often do the same thing. I even led a historical walk at the Hotel and could swear I smelled chlorine at the site of the old Olympic sized pool. I even hear now they are talking about tearing down the entire Disneyland Hotel and rebuilding from scratch.

The Queen's Berth was one of my favorite items in the Marina. I remember people used to steer their tug boats to dock next to the Queen.

                      Hope you like them.

Re: Photos of DLH with Marina?

I just posted a very sad (to me) addition on the blog http://www.magicalhotel.blogspot.com. This was the announcement of the Atari Adventure to the Disneyland Hotel Marina. Sad because Jack Wrather (original Hotel owner and developer) had aged so much since he had been diagnosed witrh cancer the previous year from this photo.
