  • Renewing AP Queries

Hello, everyone, an ex-APer here. In a couple of weeks, my friends and I were planning on getting some SoCal APs. We have a birthday on April 20th and were planning to go on that day (it's a Sunday, if anyone cares). Anyway, what my friend was wondering was if it would be possible to buy the APs the evening before on 4/19, but not actually "activating" them until the next day. I remember having to go inside DL when we first bought them, but I don't remember if we renewed them at the ticket booths.

Kind of a silly question, I know, but just curious if we can buy them the night before so we can just go the next day and just enjoy the park. Thanks!

You can buy the passes online, but you still have to go and get them in the park. They have to take your picture and make sure all your information is correct. So you can buy them before, but you still have to take the time to activate them.

      Alright. Thanks for the info!

On a slightly related note... How have crowds been the past couple weekends? How are things supposed to be the weekend of 4/19 - 4/20?

        Hi Phil,

They have been rather busy the past few weeks due to the 2-for ticket deal. I hate to say it, but I think the days of the non-crowded weekend are over.

        Have fun!

Thanks! I forgot about that dreaded 2-Fer! Oh well, we're hoping to get there early so we should have a fun trip.

One last (maybe!) question: What's the latest time you can buy tickets/APs at the parks? Is after 4:00pm too late to buy the APs? What time do those offices close?
