What's the age got to do with it? If Sean Connery showed up in his kilt, I'd be all about that!

Wear it in good health! (I hope I get to see you!)

I don't think many right-minded people would insist that wearing a kilt to Disneyland is wrong or forbidden or anything. It only becomes an issue when the kilt is worn with nothing beneath it.

        Sure.
But an improper gent would likely be shooed away.
The differences are obscure and complex.

I hereby volunteer to be DLR's Official Kilt Checker. I shall use a ruler to carefully and considerately peek beneath any and all kilts to ensure dress code compliance.

The term for that is "going Regimental". Even though it's allowed AFAIK, I would strongly suggest you not.

Because you have to consider it may not be fine with the parents of the young child you just gave an unwanted peep show to - the Sporran can only hide so much, and wind gusts and getting on and off rides...

Tis a fine, fine line between an accident and Indecent Exposure. And if the LEO who takes the complaint call puts the line toward the latter, it could have disastrous and long-lasting results.

Wear the kilt with a little something extra underneath (even though your not supposed to) just in case. CYA - you don't want any trouble. I would wear one if I had one.

Best thing to say to a kilt wearer:

I used to think you were crazy but now I see your nuts.

Yes, I've seen other guests in their native dress. I don't see how a kilt would be any different.

I suppose it all has to do with the CM's judgement call. I would suggest you leave your broadsword at home...

Personally, I love seeing someone express their religion or nationality without fear in this paranoid country nowadays. Geez, if you so much as talk funny someone will label you a terrorist or something now.

I'd assume it would be OK, but the kid's at the park WILL be permanently scared.

I say that anyone who takes the time to pleat that much fabric over a belt then role it around them should be able to wear it. Unfortunately, weapons are frowned upon, even if traditional.

Perhaps a panel evaluation is needed for this, SWR.
