      Re: Kilt wearing ok?

By costume they are talking about the Disney Character costumes which could be mistaken for the real characters. I see people all the time in clothing that looks like costumes. One example is a goth couple I see all the time dressed as Alice and Mad Hatter except all in black & white. Another example would be teen girls dressed like Strawberry Shortcake or some such. Or even adults dressed like pirates, there is one guy I see all the time with the Capt Jack beard that wears eyeliner, dreadlocks with the beads and dresses like a pirate.

Lastly, once I went to the Park around Halloween dressed in black with a serious head injury (kinda like Knott's Haunt CMs) with exposed brain and blood and they let me in no problem (no hat or anything to conceal) and only once did anyone say anything. A security CM saw me sitting on the ground over by the ROA waiting for Fantasmic and asked if I was ok, thinking I fell or something. I so wanted to tell him I had a "splitting headache" but refrained.

I say wear the Kilt. I would if I had one. Well not every time of course.

I am glad to see that the grand tradition of kilt inspection is alive and well. I will have to notify some of those nice elderly Scottsman who frequent the pubs around here! While I am personally Scotch Irish, I am also 6'4 230lbs... legs might be nice but that is a lot of material to cover everything below the belt!

I've not seen anything on Gay Day other than red shirts. Bats Day I've missed.

What the heck did you see on Gay Day in the park?

I've seen guys in Utilikilts, so one can presume that a real kilt would be fine too.

In other news... kilts are hot, mmmrowr!

Unusually and exceedingly peculiar and altogether quite impossible to describe...

There is something of a 'learning curve' with wearing a kilt. I mean, I'm a guy and, well, it took a few tries to, ah, well, learn to sit.
Mr.Roo have I ever said I love your posts because they are just so right on? They are! But now you understand how hard it is for women to sit in a skirt right?

Kilts are not only chick magnets they're grandfather trying to find their granddaughters a "Good Scottish guy" magnets (only know that from personal experience).

Well thank you very much, knerd. As an author, hearing that my work is 'right on' means volumes. And yes, it does really create respect for women. There's a moment when you sit and a person across from you furrows and then their eyes go wide when you realize...ah, whoops!

                        Thanks again.

Another ride to be careful on should you choose to wear a kilt...the submarines.

I made the mistake of looking up the stairs when a woman wearing a skirt and nothing underneath was coming down the stairs.:yuck:

Hmmm, another thought.....maybe you men who want to wear kilts to DL should contact Trekkie Dad and ask him where he gets his spandex biking shorts....those might be good "insurance" under the kilts!

Also remember the view you may present from above when on the subs.

I knew a subs ride op who said his best day as a Cast Member was the time he opened the topside sub hatch and got to watch Dolly Parton, dressed in a low cut top, slowly ascend those winding stairs.
