  • I Guess He Really Was Going To Disneyland

Look who I saw at the park yesterday...

This was right by the flag pole at the beginning of Main Street. There was a camera crew and a throng of kids surrounding him with black jerseys.

Just thought you might find this interesting.

He and his wife both fit in an Asto-Orbiter!

              That is impressive!

Re: I Guess He Really Was Going To Disneyland

I don't want to create a whole 'nuther thread just for two simple notes, so I'm going to tack them on here as comments to my own post:

This is for the guy whose job it is to patrol these boards and report back to Dland corporate.

Here's the Monster's Inc. ride on Wendesday:

I don't want to throw down a "Bad Show," but I know that if you see this it won't happen again. You're not Knott's Berry Farm, we all know you're better than this. That's all.

Oh, this is the exciting thing me and my Mom got to do yesterday on her last trip to the park before she moves to Illinois:

(I tried to simply embed it but it won't let me. Sorry for the link.)

We got to ride the cockpit of the Monorail! Never done it before. I thought I'd post my little video here for those of you who also haven't seen this view for yourselves.

Oh, and by the way, for those of you who didn't recognize Eli Manning...

I'm right there with you. I had to have him identified for me. I posted him here because I figured that most people know more about football than I do and would find this interesting.

As for myself? The only sports teams that interest me are the Anaheim Angels and FC Bayern Munich. As Geoge Will put it, "football combines two of the worst features of modern American life - it is violence punctuated by committee meetings."

Re: I Guess He Really Was Going To Disneyland

Wow, I'm surprised no one knows who he is!

Maybe that's just because I'm a college boy who does follow football. )

So, for those who missed it, it is indeed Eli Manning of the Super Bowl Champion New York Giants. He and his brother Payton (Colts) are back to back Super Bowl champs. Way to keep it in the family guys.

We now return you to this thread in progress.

I recognized him, but... as shallow as this sounds Eli and Payton are the "uglier" Manning brothers. Sure they're all fancy Super Bowl boys, but their brother Cooper is hot. Eli just looks off.

Re: I Guess He Really Was Going To Disneyland

I do know who Eli Manning is. I don't really know what he looks like.

I guess when the LA area has been without a football team for what is now 15 years this is what happens.

My son will be 10 in August. He loves baseball -- Dodger fan. I'm an Angel fan! He loves basketball and we both are Lakers fans.

But football? He can care less. The NFL better think twice because a whole generation of potential fans are growing up in the nation's second largest city and tv market who can care less.
