  • News National Cheesecake Day @ Cheesecake Factory

Hey All! Just a tip to all you cheesecake lovers out there. This Wednesday July 30 is National Cheesecake Day at The Cheesecake Factory. No, its not a national holiday. To celebrate their 30th anniversary, the Cheesecake Factory is serving up any slice of cheesecake to dine in guests for only $1.50. Yes, 1.50 - which is what they charged for cheesecake when they opened their Bev Hills location way back when.

There's only two stipulations. One slice per guest, and you have to be dine in guests. No you dont have to have lunch or dinner, but you must be seated in the restaurant to enjoy the 1.50 price. Just giving you all a heads up!
For those of you that dont know - theres a Cheesecake Factory close to DLR on Katella Ave, east of the Park , at the Garden Walk.

OR visit their website for more locations. Have fun!

Their menu has like 215 items on it. Ive tried just about everything, and I must say - they could def stand to eliminate about 35% of the items on the menu and no one would be the wiser....its nearly impossible to do a menu that huge and make everything amazing. Some of their food is actually quite good. Alot of it is throwaway, but youre right. They make some great desserts.

I've never had a bad meal there... must be lucky!
        Good morning, son
        In twenty years from now
Maybe we'll both sit down and have a few beers
And I can tell you 'bout today
And how I picked you up and everything changed
        It was pain
        Sunny days and rain
I knew you'd feel the same things...

I've never been disappointed yet and I prefer the food over the actual cheesecakes.

Well, there have been times in years past - many years past - where the only one that was 'available' was at Fashion Island....and we'd wait like over an hour for our table...and then the food was lack lustre...for lack of better term.

I must be honest - they do have a Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich that is pretty good......but it's been a long time that we've wanted to make that long wait....

I remember once - probably 10 years ago or more @ Fashion Island, my friend "A" and I waited for our table so long that we were able to sit in the 'lobby area' by the cheesecakes and eat our dessert first......and then we were seated for our late lunch.....

I've only eaten there once. The service was really bad and I can make what i had better than they did...I was not impressed.

as for the cheesecake, yes it was good. However, they sell cheesecake factory cheesecake at the olive garden (if you can stomach that food) and in costco. so, it's not worth a special trip to me.

Thanks for the information Cuddles McHenry might just drive by for a piece of cheesecake.

Don't mean to be a party pooper, but isn't this about $1.50 cheesecake and not personal experiences?!

                    I love me some cheesecake!

I wonder if the Barnes and Nobles here would serve up some dollar-fitty cheesecake? We don't have the restaurant.

Awfully late, but here are a few pics from the mayhem at The Gardenwalk.

Total wait was nearly two hours when I got there at 7pm, and most of the cheesecake was sold out! I went to the location in Riverside earlier in the day, and although it wasn't nearly as packed, it was still an hour plus wait.

And here's a couple from Riverside.

honk if you see me at disneyland!

I've eaten at the Cheesecake Factory in Tampa a couple times and was very impressed with the food. I got the lemon-herb roasted chicken last time and about fell over when they brought it out. It was HUGE! We're talking like a half chicken on a literal mountain of mashed taters.

My goal though is to try every single flavor of cheesecake they have. They got like 30 different kinds so it'll take awhile. I will say I loooove the pumpkin cheesecake they offer during the holidays. Just like pumpkin pie, but lighter & fluffier. The lemon raspberry cream is all kinds of awesome too.
