  • Crowne Plaza Hotel

I am looking to stay at the Crowne Plaza hotel for a trip in October. The main complaint I have heard about this hotel is the parking. Apparently it is quite a distance away and some do not feel safe in the parking lot. Can anybody share their experience? Where exactly in the parking lot? I looked around on the msn live maps view, but can't find what appears to be the parking lot.

Here are some reviews of the hotel. We have stayed there many times and always with our car and have never felt threatened to park in the back lot. My biggest complaint is the $12 a day resort fee.

We have stayed there before and have felt OK with the parking. The charge for self parking is rather high though. During one stay we opted for valet parking one night, but the cost factor for that was even higher, something like $17.00. We stuck with self parking.

We stayed there and yes, most of the parking was out behind the pool area and down a narrow path at the very back/side of the hotel, kind of beside another building. Very difficult to find a parking place there besides being far away and the feeling of no security. However I didn't feel unsafe there. We didn't have to pay extra for parking. That was a couple of years ago. The hotel was nice and the room was 3 star, somewhat upscale decor, very comfortable bed, with pluses like a sleep kit you can take with you and nice toiletries.
I considered going back there but I like to try different hotels.

I loved the hotel and I used the valet. I did not have any problems.

The parking is indeed the worst part of this hotel, but I've never felt "threatened" in any way walking in the parking lot. It's VERY well lit, and it's quite a busy area so there are always people around.

Overall the hotel is very nice, and I highly recommend it.

The "Resort Fee" is a bit much, but it does include "free" internet.

Great, thanks for the responses. I guess Priceline deals with them as well so I might try the name your own price gimmick.

This hotel doesn't look to be within a comfortable walking distance...is it?
