I can recommend the camelot and tropicana, but I don't know what you would consider cheap.

Try the Howard Johnsons on Harbor Blvd. Definitely within walking distance to the parks, brand new water play area for the kids, nice rooms, very reasonably priced.

I like the Best Western with the Mini Suites, for two queens and a pullout couch it's usually less than 150

I recommend the Anaheim Plaza Inn & Suites .. a basic MOTEL ... but about a 5-7 min walk to the park ... decent rooms ... good price for location (usually around $60 ~$70 a night).

We stayed at the Fairfield Inn in June and we loved it. Nice hotel and right across the street. Great location and affodable.

Desert Palm Inn & Suites is pretty good, and I got a great price off Expedia. Also it is right next to the Timon parking lot so you pretty much just walk the five minutes to parking lot entrance and get a ride on the Timon tram - I found it very convenient.

The HoJo was a really good value when I stayed there. It is a easy walk and we got an AP discount over there.
