  • Farrell's Ice Cream - OC Register

This was an article in the OC register on 11/09/08: http://www.farrellsusa.com/OCReg081109.pdf.

Farrell's website www.farrellsusa.com has also been updated with concept art for the new locations.
"And yes, we implore EVERYBODY to follow the park rules. Having off-ride footage is great, but any still photo's or video's taken ON the coasters at SFMM are strictly against the rules. They are there for your (and everybody's) safety." "Six Flags doesn't allow ANY loose articles on their coasters, and they don't allow video taping on their coasters. " BUT, " This is not true. Six Flags does not allow ANY On-Ride video or pictures on the rides. The ONLY way is if you get explicit permission from Park Management." ???

It appears from the concept art showing the dining room, that the restaurant will be accessible from an AMC theatre.

      I grew up enjoying Farrell's.

Lots of B-Day parties there. I still have a hat or two from back then.

We've been to the only one left a couple of times. I didn't know it was there until I saw their flyer at one of those little info stands (where they have all of the local tourist handouts) at the DL Hotel.

I was amazed when I saw that they still had one open.

      Bring 'em on!!!

      :yea:

Very cool! I hope we get one down here in San Diego. We had a free standing restaurant in Chula Vista for years until it got torn down I think in the 80s. I loved going there. Each time we went we always fired up the player piano (I think it cost a dime) and visited the candy store on the way out. I was always fascinated by the jars of jawbreakers!

The one in Mira Mesa was the last one left and they went bye bye, and they were always packed full!

When I go to Disneyland, I tune my FRS Radio to channel 2, without a quiet code. They're faster than a cell phone and you can talk to a whole group at a time, and you don't have to get everyone's cell phone number in advance.
