  • [Question] Fairfield vs Carousel Inn

My mom and I are planning and early march trip to Disneyland and i'm in charge of the disneyland part of the trip (also going to Sacramento).

For the hotels, I am looking at the Carousel Inn and also the Fairfield Inn. Fairfield website doesn't tell me much about what they do and do not offer, so I have have a few questions.

    For Fairfield:
    -Do they offer continental breakfast?
-Is there a pool/spa? (indoor or outdoor)
-Is it worth the money to stay there?

    For the Carousel:
-Can we still get the Micechat rate there? and if so how much would it be like per night or such.
-Is the breakfast any good? Is it like bagels or cold cereal? Or like eggs and such?

Do either of these offer a (paid or not paid) shuttle to/from the airport (John Wayne)?

I've read the reviews here but they don't seem to answer my questions, so any help would be fantastic!!!
Press today is so concerned with cool vs. not cool that they're starting to forget good vs. bad. I'm not sure I'll ever be "cool", but I will always tirelessly strive to be "great". - Josh Groban

No continental breakfast sadly, there's a paid cafe on the third floor with the usual suspects, some fruit, pastries, cold cereal and milk, and they might do some limited hot food, and there's a decent diner-type restaurant in the parking lot.

There are both an outdoor pool and spa. I'd say it's worth the off-season or MiceChat discount, yes, it's clean, rooms are fine for a few people, and it's convienent to the parks. I am sure a shuttle can be arranged to John Wayne, but never used it while staying there...you'd have to call and ask them for specifics as to that.

      Re: Fairfield vs Carousel Inn

Fairfield is nice, but Carousel rooms are considerably nicer.

Fairfield doesn't have a freebie breakfast, but I don't count any of the ones on the strip as they aren't that great.

      Carousel has toast/bagels/fruit/hard boiled eggs.

Carrousel has some of the most comfortable motel room beds I've ever slept in.

They also sell $2 breakfast wraps at their breakfast.

Carrousel has great beds is clean and for a strip hotel the staff seem to care if we come back, so they are nice.
